I've been meaning to hit 30k hive power for a long time and yesterday i did some power ups and here we are. It's of course coming off the back of a successful fork. The most seamless in nearly four years since I've been here and my goodness! It's been a fairytale.

So it's 5k Leo powered up and 30k hive power about 1.6k Powered POB and 2k also for lotus and over 2k as well for neoxian. Back in the days, a lot of people did not believe in the second layer tokens and this was because the money wasn't huge, it was meagre and gathering or buying them didn't seem the real deal but then, Leo happened and everyone began to get interested, I remembered when Leo do airdrop users who would hold at least 1k Leo back then and a lot of users built their stake during this period.

@uyobong was someone who believed in the second layer token so much, I would read his stats about curation and how he earned sports, Leo and many others. This was why I felt that while hive is the epicenter, one can create value around it's tokens, buy in cheap, curate like crazy, join the community and be completely incentivized so that even if it isn't working with hive one has the opportunity to do better with the second layer tokens. It was like having a gig and other sub-gigs inside of it.

It's pretty simple, no one should be limited when it comes to Crypto and that's why it's important to be logically unlimited, expanding your reach and doing your research. Back in the days I held like 200$ worth of BTC and when it mooned I took profits bought into Leo and hive as well because with them, I'll earn more curating and second reason was that I believed in hive and Leo.

So crypto is the real deal, infact It's been a jolly ride for me and sincerly I've been getting a lot of questions as to what my goals are really and this is pretty simple, I want to build my stake for a time when I'll really have a standing enough for when I wouldn't really need to work anymore. Inasmuch as that seems quite unclear, I'm building as well because I want to be part of the growing network.

For a system to thrive we have to help build it, hive here is decentralised and this means it's success boils down to each and every person. Many would justify their need for not building on and with the chain, it's normal for people to excuse their actions, others bemoan prices and prices at every point in time, but then, is that all is there to the chain?

But I've kept saying it, when you want something done right, you put your time and money into making it right. While it's important to be loyal to money, it's also important to understand that money is fleeting especially when you don't have a roadmap, an endgame or an financial picture of what your future would be like.

As a Nigerian, I have discovered that I'll a prospect not affected by inflation and this is why it made sense to keep building with hive, being on the chain has been completely rewarding, I check my curation rewards on hive on a monthly basis and sometimes it's the salary of a person with a first degree (BSC) in some Nigerian cooperate organisations within a month with hive as low as 0.25$.

I try to live minimally and take profits at the right time. hive of course isn't perfect, the marketing, the flaws in the system and a few other things, but it's utilities and prospects and this is what I'm banking on. I like to see the loses and the regret as a rich vein of experience for me and this is how I push through.

I like to set target... I'm a man driven by the need for achievement and I very much enjoy talking about milestones and hitting them myself. Believe me, I knew virtually nothing when I first got into crypto and sometimes I see the experience as a invaluable or priceless knowledge that I couldn't get anywhere else on the internet. So hopefully I can get to hit 35k before the end of the year.

Hive is going up too fast, I wanted to power up more but at the prices we are at (up 50% in a week) I don't feel like it.

Regards to the layer 2 tokens, they are not very liquid, I will, eventually, get some when and if they get a good daily volume of transactions, not because I think they are not worth it, just because I care about having liquidity and volume, even if at a higher price (lower would be better, of course)

Iresspective, you gotta plan no matter how risky you feel it is. No risk no reward and this has always proven to be true at all time.

I did plan, and because it going up 50% in one week was on the “too risky to take” I did not buy more and am waiting. No reward no reward, but risk and not reward means no reward to invest more.

The risk I am taking now is:

  • Risking it going up without me

The reward I am aiming for is:

  • It going back down so I can buy more for less

You're an inspiration. I think I recall when I followed you some years back, you were on less than 1k HP, or SP. I admire the determination, drive and effort you've put into making this happen.

While it's important to be loyal to money, it's also important to understand that money is fleeting especially when you don't have a roadmap, an endgame or an financial picture of what your future would be like

This is such an insightful thing to point out. We must learn to look beyond every venture as just an opportunity to earn. It also provides countless opportunities for growth which money may blind us to

Well from my own perspective, it might eventually seem too herculean for some but I think it eventually works quite well for me. I tend to look to the future while solving the little issues while I go.
Thank you hahaha, I know back in the days where I had like 1k or so but then I look back at those days and I'm grateful to be here.

This is EXCELLENT! You've done well and you've outlined how important it is to stay focused and make smart choices and be diligent in everything you do!

Starting small and building strong is something that each and every one of us can do well :)

I love that you point out that no system is perfect. Because none is!!! But we can make it MORE perfect by adding in our own part - and that helps it to become more stable and dependable!

Great job!!!!

Eventually no system is actually perfect and here has its own flaws, this I'll eventually tell you, but then even attempts to making it perfect takes time. I know I just want to be involved with the system, do my best and see where it'll eventually take me, thank you for stopping by, I'll stop by sometime as well. Cheers.

Yes i totally agree.

we are working on a little project - trying to bring some balance into the crypto world... but we know going into it - that it cannot be perfect. will never be perfect LOL

but that's ok.

because if we are all trying to do our best - instead of whining and complaining.. hahahahaha then - its all good :)

thanks for being someone who leads by example! We need more and more people like this :)

Congratz and I think you did an amazing job.

From what you said in the post, just the natural inflation from HIVE allows you to make more than a normal person's salary? It seems the situation there is quite bad.

Yeah although i never get to spend the curation reward by powering it down. All I do is just adding it up, buying curating and powering up and only taking reward when it's quite necessary as well. It's been amazing for me even when the situation is terrible here.

While it's important to be loyal to money, it's also important to understand that money is fleeting especially when you don't have a roadmap, an endgame or an financial picture of what your future would be like.

This is an important point of view and I fully share it. Whatever we do must be in the best way and the understanding that money comes and goes is fundamental and whoever does not have a life plan, a financial objective, definitely his future cannot be very stable.

As a Nigerian, I have discovered that I'll a prospect not affected by inflation and this is why it made sense to keep building with hive, being on the chain has been completely rewarding, I check my curation rewards on hive on a monthly basis and sometimes it's the salary of a person with a first degree (BSC) in some Nigerian cooperate organisations within a month with hive as low as 0.25$

This is so much like Venezuela, my country. I don't need to explain it.

Believe me, I knew virtually nothing when I first got into crypto and sometimes I see the experience as a invaluable or priceless knowledge that I couldn't get anywhere else on the internet.

hahahahaha...I laugh because that's my situation: I don't know anything about cryptography, but since I'm in HIVE I've become a bit more involved with concepts and one of the reasons to join LeoFinance is precisely to learn.
Reading your post (and others I've seen on POB) reaffirms my idea that there is power in wanting and that cryptocurrencies can be a great asset for the not so distant future.

Great job!

Well done bro, my congratulations is coming in a little late after I left my upvote on the post but better late than never 🙂

You are just an inspiration to simply put it, you are one of those on here that makes being active here a habit one must cultivate in order to be successful.

I have no doubt you will hit 35k before 2022.
