Splinterlands: Rebellion is out and pack opening

Rebellion came out a few days ago and you can see the official post here. With this, I was able to collect my airdrop and open my 105 packs from the pre-sale. A lot of things will be changing and I have been losing a lot. It's been making me rethink things but I haven't learned the meta or upgraded my cards just yet. This is part of the Splinterlands social media challenge.

Airdrop

The first thing that I did a few days ago was to claim the airdrops. It's a bit too bad that I didn't get a GFL but I still think it's a decent result as I did get a gold foil card at least. I didn't exactly buy enough to guarantee a gold foil card. If you did participate in the pre-sale, I suggest you pick up those nice cards as they can come in useful after the new changes.

Pack Opening

I opened up 105 packs that I got from the pre-sale. It wasn't the best opening and I didn't get any GFL unfortunately. I did get quite a few cards so at least I won't start missing cards. There were also a variety of legendary cards for me. After checking the cards page, I have about half of the legendaries at level 1.

Interesting cards

The first card that I thought was interesting after looking into my cards more is Daarg Deadblast. It has weapons training and swiftness to start. If I level it up one more level, it will also have triage. So it looks like a good supportive monster and it can increase the damage your lineup can do as well.

The next interesting card is Anasth Soothsyer. It has both tank heal and cleanse. So it looks like a great card to use in those poison matches. I am glad that I was able to make a level 2 version of this card for myself.

Another interesting card is Chaos Jailer. It has opportunity, ambush and poison. I think it's quite interesting to have this card as it will make those low-health but high-armor monsters suffer if they get poisoned.

Another interesting thing to note that the duo attribute summoners only apply their effects to 1 or 2 monsters. It doesn't apply to every single card so in a way, it's not as powerful as I once thought it would be.

Conclusion

Rebellion is out and I have to get used to these new cards. It's going to be kind of hard to get used to everything though. I opened my packs on the day Rebellion came out but barely upgraded what I could today. It was also my first time going through the cards in more depth. So I will see if this helps me out a bit towards my win rate in modern. I do think it will take some more time before I do get used to things.

Feel free to leave a comment if you read my post. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer.

Thanks. The new cards look nice but the learning curve is kind of rough.
