Copper Round Haul: Stack Copper While You Can

Stacking More than Gold and Silver

One of the most useful metals to use for trade or barter isn't actually silver, but copper. Although it's very common, it's also more useful - especially in a pure form.

These are nice weighty rounds, weighing in at 1/16th of a pound each.

The Noble Native

All of the rounds are "2nds" so they have various flaws, but every one I've inspected has looked great. They are random designs, but among them I got some really neat ones.

I especially like this one.

Not Firsts, 2nd

Having the word "2nd" printed on the back is a bit distracting, but I bought them for their stackability and metal content, more than perfect esthetics.

The Don

I even got some with the likeness of DJT, maybe those will be collectables someday.

Fresh Copper Glows

Even with imperfections, little scrapes and dings, these rounds are glowing.

I do not endorse the pagan entity image on these rounds.

Tradable Treasure

It would take years for me to save up enough to get these kinds of stacks in silver and unimaginable in gold or platinum. But in copper, I can make some nice heavy stacks all over my kitchen counter and still have enough cash left over to feed my family.

Seems like a good deal. Who knows what the future for precious metals will be, but right now (similar to silver) the real world value of copper is very different than the "spot" price.

I could have gotten copper cheaper by investing in copper PENNIES, but they don't have the same purity and weight as these rounds.

Teach Your Children Liberty from Sin

We encourage parents to teach their children principles of Godliness, beginning with the Word and an understanding who God is and what His Son has done to form a relationship with us.

No one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13

Teach Your children Liberty from Tyranny

Second to this is the principle of self-determination and freedom, lest we loose the ability to teach our children the first principle in future generations. Our children read the Tuttle Twin books, specifically to learn libertarian principles, which most people learn later in life. These books are useful for our family, and yours, to teach children concepts that seem complicated, but are made simple in these books.

I collect my copper in spools, usually with colorful plastic wrappings.

That is a useful form of copper collecting. It's not too much fun stripping away the plastic, but it gets a better price at the scrapyard.

I saved up over ten pounds of Copper pennies before they were considered not Legal Tender in Canada, a no brainer as they are currently worth 2.6 cents US in copper alone over face value.

Good investment! We still find Canadian pennies in our change here in Michigan all the time. Maybe with the border closed, they'll be harder to come by.

Some folks collect those pre 1982 pennies for the copper. They buy boxes of them from the bank. I suppose that is a good thing. I do the Wheaties.

I was looking at copper pennies on ebay... I couldn't bring myself to buy pennies for dollars. LOL.

Not as exciting as the 0.999 pure 1 ounce copper rounds you purchased, but pre-1982 Lincoln cents are a bargain and as abundant as Roosevelt dimes were in 1963. If anything, they would complement the stack of 0.999 pure copper rounds with something instantly recognizable.

(1982 was a transition year for Lincoln cents, but it's a hassle sorting the 1982 copper cents from the 1982 zinc cents. For that reason, I go with cents from 1981 and earlier.)

As long as you can get a good deal on the 0.999 pure copper rounds, keep it up as long as you can as hard as you can! Shiny new rounds or dirty old Lincoln cents, they have more worth than the denim paper IOUs we have.

Yes, copper in any form will have more value than a piece of paper, even if the word "$100" is printed on it. Stack those pennies!
