Odysee is built on blockchain technology i.e. LBRY protocol and ensures that its creators' channels can never be deleted. If you see on the LBRY.tv website they have this notification saying::

lbry.tv is being retired in favor of odysee.com

Therefore lbry.tv takes the face of Odysee. And by doing this it differentiates the LBRY protocol & the Applications being built on this LBRY protocol. In simple terms, Odysee is an application that is built on the LBRY protocol.

LBRY is a new protocol that allows anyone to build apps that interact with digital content on the LBRY network.

So all the new developments are happening on the Odysee website which is a video sharing site, similar to LBRY.tv application that makes the content of any time type may it be::

  • Videos
  • audios
  • blog post
  • images
  • pdfs/xls/mdb files etc

Accessible to everyone.

HyperChats LIVE on Odysee

The Odysee team made an announcement on their Twitter handle today announcing the feature of HyperChats being LIVE

HyperChats is similar to the feature of SupeChats on Youtube. Where viewers can Pay to Pin a comment on live streams.. Say for example LIVE streaming is going on and you want to ask a question or you want to cheer/support the person LIVE streaming in a way by providing tips in the form of LBCs - which is the cryptocurrency token of the LBRY

Getting their live streaming tech set up properly and adding the hyper chat... these are two huge pieces of the #Odysee puzzle. The other one is server capacity! If they can get the buffering rates down, it will all be bacon and gravy. Signed, excited long-time user. :)

Ah cool
I did not know about this platform. Looks like a good one. As they are making more changes and launching new things, looks like the developers are very active. This is again a very good thing and projects like this are worth following.

They are making a lot of development and I think they are going to d well in the long term but I guess the competition might be with 3speaks.
Anyways, I should stop procrastinating and start doing something. I guess my problem is that I am camera shy and don't get why. Anyways thank you for the update
