RE: SPinvest has funded it's 1st HIVE tribe - check out #MusicforLife

A bit off topic but . . . something I've been thinking about lately is . . . what happens to the projects on Hive where there is a very strong leader front-running them, if that leader (for a any number of reasons) is no longer active?

In fact maybe it's not so off topic since you said

Our investment is into him

What would happen to SPInvest if @silverstackerUK was suddenly unavailable. And what would happen to @brofund if Ray was suddenly unavailable. And what happens here if @al-gaming goes AWOL. Are there measures in place such that the projects/tribes will continue?

I started thinking about this as I'm looking to consolidate the projects I am involved in, buying more in fewer projects. Which got me to thinking the above.

Back in the day I invested quite heavily into Contest Kings. The guy running it was super passionate, very involved, worked hard, seemed like are a really genuine guy and then disappeared.

He informed us that he would be closing the project down (due to external circumstances, apologised profusely and told us when we unstaked he would give us a third of what we paid for the tokens.

He never did and just disappeared.

Some projects will fail. I get that. But I'd be more comfortable if there were plans in place to keep projects running with or without the main man/woman.

I never really thought about this much but, having read 2 posts in as many days, about abandoned projects it reignited my wondering. 😊

Well in the case of musicforlife, we also have another external community on youtube called liberty academy with some popularity.
If something were to happen to me, there is still the rest of the academia libertad team, in the worst case if it is no longer freedom academy (which is technically impossible, because it is basically how we make a living)

In the worst scenary We would not leave the project dead, if we did not sell it to someone with the same vision and passion. But hey that's remotely impossible, but just so you can be sure that at least on musicforlife, the project won't be dead even if I die :)

I have written about this before. I have written about what if I needed money and sold our BTC, who would know if I kept reporting it in the weekly earnings and holdings report. I could run away with $250k from SPI and LBI and very little anyone could do to stop me. I have written about this before, I dont wanna be active within SPinvest forever, I'd prefer to just watch others grow what I started and collect my weekly div's.

At the end of the day, we invest in people when we invest in a start-up which is what all of the projects on hive-engine are, we take that risk. Pick your investments like you pick your friends, wisely

I get where you're coming from, im trying to set up LBI to not require me by setting up teams of 3's, each team focusing on a certain thing. Removing myself, in the end, will require a new banker to take over my role and that's it.

That's helpful. Thanks.

I've not really thought of the projects on hive-engine as start ups before. In fact, I've not really thought about such things at all to be honest. I've just dabbled. It's only now that I'm thinking about investing more in fewer that it's come to the forefront of my mind.

I'm entering another phase in my crypto/investment education. 😁

Thanks as always for your thoughtful reply. I've learned a lot from you since joining SPInvest and continue to do so.
