Small Wins - Freebitcoin Today for Me

avatar

In a world where 3-4 digit APRs are not uncommon, it's important to remember and take time to celebrate small wins, as well as bigger ones. Otherwise what's their point, if they start to blend into a regular routine, unnoticed?

In my previous post I touched a bit about the early days of cryptocurrencies. Almost from back then we still have a faucet that distributes bitcoin satoshi and is still in business. I'm sure you know of it at least, if you haven't tried it. It's freebitco.in.

Faucets have been out of style for quite some time, with all the new and powerful instruments and tools crypto world keeps developing constantly, but their business model is still around. After all these years.

But it's not my intention to praise faucets. They have their limited scope and some people still use them. For example, I still spend (waste) a few minutes every day on a few faucets.

But today it didn't feel like wasted time. So I wanted to celebrate a small win.

5000 bitcoin satoshi win freebitcoin faucet

That's right, I won 5000 bitcoin satoshi by opening their daily email prize!

I didn't get rich doing that, it's something between $1 and $2, but it is a small win, considering the daily 'usual' per email is 50 satoshi (or 50 reward points - which have the same value as satoshi, except you need at least 100k of them to exchange them to satoshi, if that's what you want).

Also, with this small win came another. I now have enough satoshi in the faucet account to receive daily interest on them:

I needed 30000 bitcoin satoshi in my account balance at freebitcoin to receive 4.08% yearly interest on them. Knowing there's no "impermanent loss" and that I don't risk any external bitcoin there (although the website has many years of continuous operation), that's pretty cool.

I think it's my first. I had quite a few of 500 satoshi/RP ones, but I don't remember any 5000 before.

I'll take it lol

Sure, they add up. And for less than 30 seconds it takes to complete the whole thing from opening the email to solving the captcha, that's still an option.

Wow @gadrian big congratulations on your win, I only ever had 1 win there on a free spin before, and it was years ago, I think it was like 20k or 25k, not exactly sure but it got my total above the 30k as well and it felt really nice, I also still spin it every now and then, plus get a bunch of referrals from Start Earning Today, keep up the good work and stay awesome.

Congratulations on your "small" - but significant - wins with FreeBitcoin, especially on breaking through the 30,000 satoshi barrier to start earning interest. I love how they pay the interest daily.

Your results are a great example of how we can use FreeBitcoin to build from zero with no investment (except time and patience).

Until recently, I was using the Reward Points to boost my hourly satoshi earnings with the Roll button. But now I am letting them accumulate until I have 100,000 and then I will convert them to satoshi as that seems to be the best return.

Haven't tried that. I'm not 'active' enough on the faucet to be profitable, I think. Anyway, I let them accumulate as well.
