Ask Leo: What notification service do you use on Hive?

I'll use this cool initiative of @acesontop for the first time in my hope to find an alternative to the old and broken for a long time @ginabot.

Right now I'm still heavily using ginabot, with all its bugs and imprevisible behaviour, especially when it comes to reporting votes (either your own or the ones you receive).

I don't see the mentions of my username either.

In some other areas, Ginabot is still working like clockwork. Any non-social related activities like transfers, delegations are reported promptly. So are new posts from the people you have on the list.

But still it feels abandonned and the discord has been very quiet on its chat rooms for months. Except new registrants, there still seem to be new users coming to Ginabot lately.

Last post is all the way during the time of Steem also (in September 2019). So much has happened that it seems like old history:

Something else that I would have liked to see on its settings page, apart from a tool that works like it used to, is the option to open links with the LeoFinance interface (and other tribes that succeeded in their journey).

Currently there are only the two all-purpose main interfaces listed, hive.blog and peakd, and lately I interact mostly via LeoFinance.

That doesn't mean I don't like peakd, which I still use quite often. But if I open a link via ginabot and want to use leofinance, I have to manually change the link. Every time! Including for comments and replies, so that amounts to quite a few useless manual operations.

So, what do you guys say, especially if you know ginabot. Do you currently have a better option to it?

I might already know the alternative, but I've been biased toward ginabot and ignored it.

Thanks!

I honestly don't use any and never used. I just keep on checking Leofinance and peakd and see what's new.

I started to do that on LeoFinance too. I did that on other interfaces too, but it all resumes to the available time and some sort of focus we need to have.

Notifications helped me for a different purpose as well. I follow several curation trails, not for rewards, because it's actually worse than manually curating, but for content discovery in areas I hold interest to but often no time to check myself. I was simply back-checking my auto-votes to read through some of the content.
