Hello...
I want to make this post after i gathered some of my thoughts in the past few days.
I am in no way a professional trader or investor in crypto.
But since i joined the world of blockchain, like it or not, i need to learn about it and survive through the up and down.
I only be a part of crypto since last year during the start of covid.
At the time, i only know hive, hbd, steem, sbd, and btc.
When Hive had a field day last year, my eyes opened up about how fun the world of crypto is.
But it is not always about profit here, it is not always al sunshine and rainbow here.
I was shocked when the price of the Hive crumbling down last year to the point that its only Rp 1.500.
It was like i lost about 70% of my expected money.
In that time, i was so lost, depressed, so sad.
I think that this is something that often happened to the newcomer of crypto, especially the one like me that dip in to the world without real knowledge about it.
Newcomer like me usually very ambitious and hot headed.
So its very eay to make us fall.
But thankfully, my friend keep supporting me to keep strong.
So i dont have any regrets while doing crypto and be smarter about even the smallest thing.

I read and watch a lot of references.
I have realized that it is not only investing our money but we need to investing in our brain too.
There i found a term called “risk management”
I didnt look up the real definition of that world but when i heard that for the first time, i felt like that is the answer that i have been looking for all of this time.
For me risk management means that i should have a back up plan if A and B or even C happened to me.

I am no way competent but i want to share about what i do, and if someone read this post and think that i am doing thins wrong, please do correct me.
If you have any suggestion that i good for a beginner like me, please do inform me too.
So after what happened to Hive at the time, i decided to do some things.

First, i just cash out the Hive, Steem, HBD, and SBD that i had and put them in 30 different coin.
Most of the coin that i bought is the small coin that cost less than 1 dollar.
I did that in hope that it have more chance to grow than an already big coin. Of course, i still need the coin that i sold, but i collect them from 0 again with posting in blockchain.

Second, my plan i to just play it safe and my main goal is to be a swing trader at the time so i can collect more money while still keeping myself to be safe. So in order to do that, i should not be greedy.
At the time i do a daily trade that let me earn 7 to 15% profit daily in most coins.
That really helped me get back to where i am now. I am in no way already successful but i am so happy to say that i am in a better place now.

Third, after i set my footing with being a swing trader. After gained enough, i want to make my asset to be more safe while still not be greedy about the result. I think that or beginner like me greedy is the thorn in the heart and i should conquer them to be in peace with myself (and my money). So, i stopped being a swing trader and more into the investor style this year especially with such a good bear happened since the beginning of the year. Still, i need a back up plan so no matter how hard it is to sell the asset, i make sure to always keep 10 % - 30% in the form of IDR or USDT because its the most stable currency for me so just in case the dip happened i can survive without the need to sell my asset in lower price than what i bought and plu, i can buy more when the price is low.
The 10 - 30% liquid is surprisingly very hard to do because in my mind i feel like i should hold more in case the price is even higher.
When the thought came to my mind, i told myself again that this not gonna be all rainbow and sunshine in crypto.

Than you for reading this post.
