There is an inherited duality in stablecoins that I don't quite get.

  1. They should be priced as close to 1 as possible
  2. They should be attractive for the market

These two prerogatives don't add up :)

The stability aspect of them is what is atractive. It helps the market participants to pivot in and out of the more volatile assets.
