Unfortunately growing your account starts from day one and how you set out is how you have to continue. Consistency day in and day out no matter what has to be the order of the day. Like a plant it needs water and attention otherwise it withers up and dies.
I bring this up as I have been ill over the last 4 days and somehow found a way to still post. Yesterday I wrote a post whilst wearing sunglasses as the head ached and the blur from the screen was too much. I don't have Covid and believe it is just the body saying I need to relax more. Stress is a killer and the last year has been stressful to say the least business wise.
Many new users arrive on the blockchain thinking there is some secret to growing and that there is easy money to be made. That thinking unfortunately lies with the majority of signups and they disappear with the tail between their legs within a few months.
Quite incredible really as there are fortunes to be made here, but not overnight as this takes time and loads of it. There are 1000's of account's that lie dormant these days that may or may not be fired up again. My bet is many will stay like they are for years and the most likely outcome is people lose the keys.
I suppose it must be down to the individual and what they are prepared to put into something. How you were raised and what your parents expectations were. When I grew up it was frowned upon to move jobs regularly as it didn't show loyalty. That soon changed however when I was already in management and noticed that the younger generation wanted things now and were not prepared to learn through experience and knowledge.
That same generation is now having kids so what can we expect from the majority of people if their parents were not prepared to work at something and would give up? Trust me if Hive and Leo were so easy to earn this place would be flooded with users and the truth is it isn't. The accounts that are earning and doing well are posting multiple times every day and are commenting like crazy and that is what it takes to succeed on here.
For something to have value it needs to be seen as having value and the harder Leo and Hive are to earn I think it is a good thing long term. As more and more people realise this and stay to build something only then will we see the blockchain take off like it should have done. This is still early days however so growing is easier today than what it will be like over the coming years and for this reason I cannot miss one day of growth no matter what.

Dang, you are saying I need to be posting multiple times per day? That would be like a full time job for me :) It does take a lot of time and effort to grow on here. I totally agree with you there! Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. Take it easy and get well soon!

Not really a full time job. A post can be like a free write as many are of mine and not much thought needs to go into it as the pen just flows. That is why finding the right tribes to right on that interest you are that important. Sports and finance is an easy option and I know if I had no interest I would struggle otherwise. I can't do the 8 hours a day that I used to do on here as that is literally like another job but that I believe is what it take sin the beginning to get the momentum going if you are not investing. Even with investing you still have to build your base.
Think about it you do post at least once per day on your main and one on your alt except for weekends so you are virtually there already. Your growth is decent as you do loads of commenting and you do work at what you post. This is consistent and relevant to how well you do.

Yep I get that and will be pretty cool at the same time. Staking everything as per normal so will be around voting on your stuff with the new micro blogging Leo token. I must admit I can't keep this up forever as there are other things that need tending to like work lol.

Yup, you can't keep this up without retiring or making this a full-time job. Some days I'm so busy or burnt out I just use up my votes and that's about it. Watch a movie and crash out early.

I know I have been struggling to maintain consistency. But you are right. It is just adding one bit more on top of one bit more until the pile starts to grow on its own.

That is the only way it works and only when your pile is big enough do you see it start to grow on itself. Truthfully it is hard but ever so worth the effort.
