DeFi is only going to get bigger and bigger which will add to UniSwap's value.
I saw a tweet this morning showing UniSwap at $20 a token meaning the airdrop from September (400) was worth $8000 to those that kept their stake. I don't care what country you live in that is a decent pocketful of change for absolutely nothing.
This got me thinking to what the biggest freebie I ever received and it was roughly the same value. The only difference I had to hold onto the shares for over 20 years and not just a few months. Mine was an insurance policy that got taken over by another insurance company and for allowing that to happen we were all given 2000 free shares in that company. Those types of things don't happen that often and I never dreamed of ever selling them instantly. I do believe it is in how you were raised on how you think and if you have a saving type mentality.
In todays world the money being tossed around is plentiful and it has given rise to an easy come easy go type attitude. I believe that many will benefit instantly from such rewards, but a huge percentage of those will never amount to anything financially in the future. One has to hold onto things in order to create value.
Having $1200 in your pocket compared to 5 months later having a value of $8000 is rather insane. UniSwap and the DeFi craze has shown it is no passing fad and is here to stay with over $3 Billion invested already. There is more and more interest being shown in this and can only see the value of UniSwap going up. How crazy would it be for an airdrop to make millionaires by just holding the free coins. That sounds rather stupid right now but who knows where the price could be if held for 10 years. UniSwap is up over 1700 % in just 5 months.
The one airdrop I still have high hopes for is my Leo and quite possibly that will be my best freebie. The airdrop of Leo if memory serves me well was around 680 coins and worth only about $340 today. I do believe this with compounded growth in time will out do my insurance policy and turn out to be the biggest free gift I have received so far.
In todays society the millennials seem to struggle with the value of money as everything seems to just come easily to them. Not everyone but that is the impression I get as why they want everything to moon making their lives even easier than they already are.
When I was growing up computers were still new and there was no internet with everything in old school thinking. Times have really changed with information and fortunes at your finger tips if you know what you are doing. Crypto is going to change things so much over the next decade and create so many millionaires in the process especially on sites like Leo and Hive. Having a head start with early adoption is not only wise, but very smart and everyone here is way ahead of the curve.

UNI is my biggest stake in crypto. I haven't been airdropped anything. I just bought some at $10 a token.
I know the feeling of selling the free stuff you get in just a sec. It's stuff you haven't put any effort for and that's why most of us don't have the perspective for such airdrops.
If DEFI should be as revolutionary as ETH and its ICOs were in 2017 then UNI can get to $1000. Once it blows 100 away it's quite easy to see a $100 UNI.
Seeing how things grow exponentially in here I wouldn't be amazed to see such dollar valuations. That would mean the airdrops would be wroth $400,000.
I believe that the ones seeing the potential in Uniswap are buying it for governance. When you add the wallstreetbets saga it's clear that retail will leave centralization behind and move to decentralized blockchains and DEFI.
2021 is going to be wild and it has just started. We'll have a hell of a bull market this year.

I had to sell my UNI airdrop for 6 grands. HODLing is hard, you know! I appreciate your HODL mindset that made you hodl those 2000 shares for 20 years.
Lol not a chance. Yes you can add curation in as well but overall it should be the biggest freebie if it does what it is supposed to do and perform well. Who knows where this could all end up at in a year or two. There is o rush as the long game is more fun and more rewarding.
