China moves forward with its digital currency project and distributes $ 1.5 million

Um olhar para o futuro
A pandemia foi apenas um gatilho para que criasse uma moeda digital se tornasse uma realidade mais rapidamente. O projeto é simples, fazer com que o yuan digital substitua definitivamente o dinheiro impresso. Com o distanciamento social ainda está em vigor, é normal que os cidadãos utilizem mecanismos digitais para efetuarem seus pagamentos como compras onlines e cartão de crédito para evitarem um contato maior com o dinheiro de papel.
Esse projeto criado pelo Banco Central da China é desde 2014 e neste ano finalmente está em fase de testes e além de Shenzhen, mais outras 8 cidades incluindo Guangzhou, Hong Kong e Macau estão tendo acesso ao yuan digital.
A dificuldade que talvez possam encontrar será diante dos idosos com relação a essa nova tecnologia. Não apenas na China mas isso deve ser algo que em todo lugar poderá encontrar com a nova moeda digital. É mais acessível a compreensão dos mais jovens por "coisas novas", mas é sempre bom não deixar a população da terceira idade fora desse projeto.
Apesar de que mais testes estão sendo impantados pela China ainda não há nenhuma previsão oficial para que todo o país tenha acesso ao yuan digital. Diferente do que estamos habituados a usar em nossas criptomoedas, o yuan digital será completamente centralizado utilizando serviços complementares como AliPay e WeChat Pay. Será o Banco Central da China que controlará toda o sistema.

Another issue is that not all of China is online. Thus, using something like a digital currency is out of the realm for them. This is especially true for the western part of the country.
But, we can see the race clearly. The central banks are rapidly moving to the design and testing of their digital currencies. In contrast, we have to keep pushing our development as well as helping the adoption along by promoting this to more users.

I also see this as a problem, in addition to the country not being fully connected, the specific public such as the elderly should have some difficulty in understanding this new payment system.

Support is only from the Central Bank of China, as its system is centralized there should be nothing transparent.
