Crypto Earnings Altcoin Investment Portfolio (Update #8 May 2021)

I started a small crypto altcoin portfolio 8 months ago with the intention to use some of my active and passive crypto earnings, reinvesting them in some 'crypto moonshots' (See Original Post). This is the update for May 2021.

May was one of those months crypto tends to bring along, going up hundreds of Percent in no time means inevitably there will be massive corrections. I'm personally fine with this even though the plan is to take profit at some point on the way up. While things came at a point where I was nearing the end of adding more coins, now things seem to have reverted back to accumulation zone so I will keep going with this portfolio.

These were the results on the coins I added in April...

Polygon which I managed to buy at 0.42$ continued to rise like crazy now being at 1.80$ which makes up for a lot of the other losses. Sora Dropped most but these tokens will get a nice airdrop of VAL tokens during the year. For as far as I know, the drop rate will be 90 VAL for 1 XOR meaning I should get 18 (they currently go for 3.11$ each (55.98$ Total)and I will add them to this portfolio in case they ever are added in my account).

May Added Coins

I did add some more coins during May before the big drop which doesn't really make all too much of a difference since I'm buying these with crypto earnings which otherwise also would have dropped hard. All 3 coins with a lot of buzz that already went up a lot (somewhat similar to when I bought the Matic).The main purpose is to have at least some as they motivate me to possibly try out the platforms.

I bought 50 Luna on May 15th for 15.90$ each mostly because Elliotrades covered this showcasing it as a serious project while bigger investors like Novogratz and Raoul Pal also have invested in these. There also seems to be real adoption mostly in Korea and price should go up if more UST gets minted and used.

Also, lots of hype around Solana and I did get some even though I see this as yet another Ethereum competitor with a gimmick that will likely fail. Similar to all the others, popular Ethereum dapps are being developed for it since devs know the money will roll in. The price has almost fully recovered though as I bought it also on May 15th for 41.44$.


Enjin is one of those projects many are very enthusiastically about while I never really see it going anywhere as it's not something I see myself using. I'm more of an Ultra Fanboy and the only real reason I want at least a little bit of ENJ is in case I'm wrong on this. I bought 50 ENJ on 15 May for 2.07$ each. Damage overall is rather limited.

I'm still looking to add some more coins or even add a bit on the positions where the price dropped a lot. For now I'm keeping it at the 3 that I added May 15th last month. These are the total buys I made so far...

Cub which was an airdrop I receive and didn't sell is the worst performer so far having lost 84% of its value. Some big willers (DOT / PARSIQ / iExex RLC / Cardano / Polygon) make it so that the overall portfolio still shows excellent growth also against BTC.

The profit on this portfolio was pretty much halved last month from +2.5k to +1.25k but cost-averaging continues to be a strategy that works quite well having.

That was it again for this month. If it happens to be the case that the top is in for this bull run (Which is unlikely based on all the data) I likely will be a bag holder and just continue cost averaging in until the next major bull run.

it is really interesting to see your portfolio and its development. I even found some support for my opinion on solana ;)

Looks good, i did start a NFT supporting blockchains portfolio with WAX, CHR, DEGO, ENJ, CHZ, MANA.

I have also got some more SOL and AVAX. I am looking to get more LINK DOT and MATIC if i have the extra funds.

Looks like you also got some kind of addiction to getting many different coins :)

I'm quite big on Link myself in my main portfolio, Raoul Pal also seems to be big on a community token like CHZ and metaverse like Mana.
