Hello Friends,

I am sure all of us are in Festive mood as Christmas is around the corner and $Bitcoin is going nearer to the moon!!!
Here I am with another blog for Splinterlands with details of a nice battle I thought of sharing and also some nice cards I received from 5 Untamed packs I purchased today including a Legendary Scarred Llama Mage.
So, here I go with the details of battle first!!!
It was a battle of Water Splinters with me using Alric Stormbringer and my opponent with Valnamor.
This battle wasn't won by me and I even I didn't lose it!!!! Yes, it was a tied battle and the point here I want to mention is about the mightiness of Gelatinous Cube.
I normally use Lord Arianthus whenever I battle with Water Splinter. But, since I saw the battle is with Earthquake ruleset, I thought of using Gelatinous Cube since it can heal itself.

Battle and Lineup:

As we can see from above screenshot of the battle, it was a battle with just 29 MANA cap and involved rulesets of EarthQuake* along with Keep Your Distance which means, only magic and ranged attack monsters can be used in this battle.
Lets go thru the lineup I used and also what opponent had.

My Lineup:

1. Gelatinous Cube:

image.png

The simple reason for using this at the front is because of Keep Your Distance battle ruleset and also to avoid the early exposure of second line monsters since this can heal itself.

2. Prismatic Energy:

image.png

My most used monster at second position whenever I use Water splinter is Prismatic Energy for the reason that, it being a magic reflect monster, we can get rid of magic monsters with this and Lord Arianthus at the front.

3. Furious Chicken:

image.png

Used this just in case any Opportunity monster is used by opponent and this can absorb that by sacrificing itself and protect other low MANA monsters.

4. Sea Genie:

image.png

This being an Earthquake battle, I thought this will be a good one since it's a flying monster and also can strengthen the monsters I used.

5. Albatross:

image.png

Needed a healer for this Earthquake battle and no other one we can think of Albatross as it's also a flying monster.

6. Water Elemental:

Last but not least, this self healing monster with good speed is a good one and moreover, this can also give a good 3 ranged attack.

Opponent also used Water splinter and almost identical lineup and his monsters were, Lord Arianthus, Coral Wraith, Crustacean King, Gelatinous Cube, Albatross and Water Elemental.
Anyone who looks at these 2 lineups with the summoners used can easily get into the conclusion that, opponent will easily win this because of his better summoner, speed it adds to the monsters.
But, there was a different story, let's go thru the battle.

Battle:

Round 1 and 2:

Except for Furious Chicken, all the monsters were intact until round 3 even though this was an Earthquake battle and by round 3, Water Elemental I used got removed because of the snipe attack of Coral Wraith.

Round 3 and 4:

By the end of round 4, all I had was Gelatinous Cube as Lord A inflicted magic reflect on the magic monsters I used and opponent was going strong with Lord A, 2 healers Crustacean King and Albatross and Gelatinous Cube along with Water Elemental still surviving.

Round 5 to 21:

Except for Crustacean King, which got removed in round 5, all other monsters being either flying monsters or getting healed, survived till level 21 and fatigue started after that and the lone warrior for me was Gelatinous Cube which also kept healing itself to survive!!!!

image.png

Round 22 to 24:

It was all fatigue in rounds 22 to 24 and by the end of that, we had only Gelatinous Cube left on both side and from that point onwards, we can think that, only draw is the possible result since both are un-attacking monsters.

Round 25 to 31:

By round 31, we could see both Gelatinous Cube were very tired and died due to fatigue bringing an end to this battle. I think that's the most number of rounds I played in a battle!!!

This battle shows that, gelatinous Cube is way better than Lord Arianthus when we have Earthquake ruleset and this is already my most favorite non-attacking monster.

Details of Cards I got from Untamed Packs:

I was fortunate to purchase 5 Untamed packs from hive-engine as I had some hive and I wasn't disappointed as I got a Legendary, an Epic, a Gold Foiled and a Summoner as part of the 25 cards I got and details are as below:

Here are the details of cards in 2 pics:

Untamed 2312201.JPG

As we can see above, in the first set, I got an Epic Coral Wraith, a gold foiled Sniping Narhwal with a summoner in Mother Khala being a most notable ones.

Untamed 2312202.JPG

And here we can see above the major one in the form of a Legendary Scarred Llama Mage which is worth $12.5 and helped me to level up my 2 existing cards I got from airdrop to level up to level 2!!!!

So Splinterlands is something to cheer for me today with that satisfying draw against a higher ranked opponent with Gelatinous Cube and then those nice cards I got including the Legendary.

Hope you enjoyed going thru this blog about the battle and cards!!!

Wishing you all Good Day :)

Thanks for sharing! - @ashikstd

$Bitcoin is going nearer to the moon!!!

That's so true but I don't care as I'm not a holder 😉
That's a memorable battle for sure and I liked the lineup from your side and it seemed your team was weaker and I thought you were gonna lose but you were in good luck or your strategy was that good that it led to the draw.
Well done... Keep on battling.

I hold a bit of it and hope it keeps growing like it is now :)

Yeah even though it was a drawn battle, the way Gelatinous Cube took on all the monsters opponent had, made me feel more satisfied.

Thanks Ashik, Good Night :)
