LeoFinance: Do You Vote Up All of Your Commentors?

avatar

Screenshot of Booking Travel With Bitcoin_.jpg

I try really hard to be a good curator and spread my vote around two people that don't receive a lot of attention in order to give them some encouragement.

Now my vote isn't worth a lot per se, but I feel The return on community is what will ultimately lead to return on investment.

And in my case my investment is time and not Fiat so I feel it's my responsibility to pay it as forward as I can.

I pretty much try to give out 100% votes to everybody while it might not appear that way because I use the Leo Finance Vote Multiplier Tool to save on my hive power but the value is always 100%.

Having said all that, before I go around and vote random people I always vote for the people who comment on my posts with my general account and in my curation account.

I don't do it to try and cultivate a following of any kind because I really don't care if I have followers or not. I do it because I can be assured that the people commenting on my posts are active on Leefinance. That's what's important to me and the fact that they are commenting serves as a filter.

But it does take my voting power way down so if it gets too low I just wait until the next day and go back into my posts and vote up the commenters.

I think if I had a higher stake I could lower the percentage down from 100%, and still give meaningful votes while into more people who are active on the chain but for now I got to stick with my 100% votes.

So do you focus on the people that comment on your posts to do your voting or do you have another method for rewarding active people? I would love to hear about it in the comments

I’m with you, I try really hard to use my hive power to help others get their payouts on here.

I sometimes run into issues being in a group where my voting power isn’t supposed to drop below a certain level. Then I have to give smaller percentage votes.

I’m planning on staying in the group and getting some hive engine tokens to gift people with when my voting power gets low. Hopefully they’ll understand

whats the group? The vote multiplier tool in the leodex solves that problem. For example, I have mine set to 10 which means I put my slider at 10% when I'm doing my leo votes. It multiplies my leo vote by 10 and gives out my 100% value but only reduces my hive power by a 10%. It's brilliant.

It’s a telegram group called backscratcher. But I like that, I need to find that tool and mess around with the settings.

I vote almost every comment. It needs to have a meaning to the subject. If it is done by a spammer, I simply flag. It depends also on the comment with how much power I vote.

I haven't run into spam on my posts. I guess thats because so few people actually see them lol. But I'm with you on that.

You are doing very good my friend.
A lot of people get discouraged because of no votes or down votes.
We need to support them.
Thanks a lot for sharing the thougts.
Best of luck

My Hive power is shit to reward any commentator so I used to upvote the post of the commentator .
With tribes, I am able to upvote comments and when I go for reading , I do read the post of users who commented.

Interesting. I do see that I interact with just upvoting the post instead. It's certainly something to consider

Actually if it interest you then you should. I personally do not add many things in post (that I know) because sometime it look like adding more detail then required or just breaking my flow of writing and something authors take few things understood/elementary but in reality it is not the case with end users.

I just need to get more efficient at it. I had low voting power when I posted this lol. I check you out and gave you a follow. You going to power up that liquid leo for the snapshot? I'm all in for that!

I try to keep up - i stick to 50% upvote so i can spread my tiny bit a little further.

I haven't been real active lately because of crappy situation - but getting slowly back to some sort of normalcy.

I usually do smaller votes on my commenters, than post votes. It is a small acknowledgment that they read my post and made a comment, which I always appreciate.

However, I don't normally vote on a simple "nice post" type of comment.

100% all of them.

Probably the reason why I have so many comments usually. I want to believe that my readers also enjoy the content

I actually started this second account just for Leo curation. I think by flattening the curve I am much more willing to vote for any content that brings value to the platform be that a post or comment. I don't post myself very much cause I am here learning as I go on Leo, commenting when I may have something to add. I will always upvote or send tokens to those who comment on my posts as I know there lots like me out there that don't write a full post but deserve part of the pie, be that on Leo or on Hive.

I'm very small right now, so when I get a comment I immediately respond and upvote. My vote may only be worth a cent or two, but it is nice to engage with everyone and maybe one day that cent could be three cents LOL

hehehe that's me up here! my potatoface :P

Anyways, i believe that rewarding the ones that commenting under your post is a nice thing to do. It's like a token of appreciation to someone who read your post. You are even more generous giving up 100% upvotes.

I, on the other hand, try to upvote mostly every comment but because i check all of my comments 1 or 2 days per week i can't give out big upvotes or else my lp will get drained. Thus i give around 13%-20%. I still believe that it's nothing though, and that's one of the reason i want to grow my stake and give out more rewards

A lot of people here don't write articles but comments. In my posts, I upvote every comment except if is spam. My vote doesn't worth too much but I hope one day is valuable enough.

Not always, but I try. When someone invests time and effort in order to enhance your post, you should pay at least some consideration.

I'm fine with you supporting as many people as you can, after all, a community should support each other. I delegate my Leo's to you to help the community a bit through you, since I don't have any real power I can use right now, I will withdraw them when I have at least 0.001 voting power(which I don't really know how many LeoP's it takes to reach them). I invite you to my posts on globalcontent, since they are the only thing of value I have at the moment. I wish you the best and keep up the good work.
