Cryptocurrency bubble this week
An amazing week it has been in the cryptocurrency world.
Bitcoin reached a record high of more than $64000 on Thursday, ethereum briefly topped $2500 for the first time in Friday morning. XRP also had a rise to $1.93 before hitting $1.63 again.
Doge coin has been the top mover for the week. It's not the first time Doge coin has had a wild rise. There's always a tendency for volatile swing in price.
Dogecoin has been climbing again in the past week, hitting 10 cents a coin for the first time on Wednesday. It's risen by a whopping 400% in the last seven days.
On Friday, a Reddit user posted a picture of their dogecoin holdings on the Robinhood investing app.
The user stated "I bought in February 2021 about 4 million dogecoins at about 4 cents 🚀."
On Thursday, Musk posted a cryptic tweet saying "Doge Barking at the Moon," likely in reference to the popular crypto slang phrase "to the moon."
