LEO Finance quality content flippening
It passed quite some time from my daily routine and posting on LEO Finance, but about few days ago I got back to it with some fresh energy. Did some power up and staking posts as I've accumulated quite a bit of LEO and HIVE meanwhile and also turned my eyes to do some manual curation. I like to check the new things, so I've filtered the posts by creation date and started looking over those that seem appealing to me. And I must say that we need to put more work into it and flip the content with more quality.
LEO Finance has some emblematic creators which are consistent in posting and in the quality of their content. They don't disappoint and they offer prime articles to those wanting to see a glimpse at the future or to learn new ways of earning.
Beside this there are others with medium content (like myself I think) which add moderate value to the platform, but at least bring some novelty to it. I think this is important as through posting and work, these creators can improve themselves and find their identity around here.
But there is another category of users that simply put a picture with some market asset, right two or three words and that's about it. I think this is laziness, at least say your opinion and try to interpret the information that might be as well copied from other places. This while provides content in numbers, I think has a negative effect for the readers which might be tired or opening worthless posts.
What we can do? One think could be for having a minimum words limit for the posts in order to ensure that we don't spam the platform with content that doesn't provide any information. And for those that are really creators and want to contribute, I don't think it is discouraging, but rather seeing that this platform encourages quality content. It can be as low as 50 words, but something needs to happen.
Maybe there are other improvements that could be done, but the one suggested I think is easy to do and should help adding more quality content around. I wonder what do you think about this, so don't hesitate to add your point of view to this.

I think that we should put more marketing effort into attracting emblematic writers with a following or with the potential to develop a following.
And we should also listen to those writers and then implement front-end functionalities that make writing more fun and easier for them (rather than back-end functionalities)
Truly agree on this as some new features added to the website lately are not so user friendly as previously. For example hiding the tags and needing to push a button to set them up.

Quality, however you define it, drops with numbers?
So, what is the goal?
Many authors?
High quality content?
Both! :)
I can live with casual posts.

Indeed it needs to be a balance in between, but I think setting some ground rules could benefit us long term...

Rules can be guidelines at first. And it would be good to reach a consensus on these rules.
I can agree with that. But nevertheless we need a strategy to where we want to take and transform LEO Finance.

I believe the @leofinance team has a clear picture of where they want to go and how will they do that? If this includes strategy and posting rules, that I don't know :)
Wen #ProjectBlank?
That is why we need projectblank. There is really a use case for these posts; Quick Updates from the market. The latest news etc. But the Leofinance is not the platform for that.
Your short posts on Noise.Cash are a great example for small but informative updates in the crypto markets.
I think creating rules like a minimum length isn't the solution. I think it's better that 'quality content' organically will be shown to most users.

That might be true, but we need a way to improve the content. So any other suggestion I think is welcomed...

I think that when there is an alternative for these 'quick and short' posts the overall quality of the posts on Leofinance increases.
In another post I've suggested to adjust the front page by introducing sorting and filtering. Filtering on post length could be one of the criteria too.
