I've always imagined building my own city and using mathematics for the streets and buildings in order to make it perfect. And while I will not have this opportunity in real life, I found my chance with Dcity. Thus I've decided to start a journey of building my dream city brick by brick and making the most of it. The economics are and probably will become more complex, so I will try to decipher and share some of them with you.
The investment in the city of the future was initially at 60 HIVE and with new funding poured into it got to 160 HIVE. Beside my latest investments from about 1 month ago, my city went into a sleeping state and no new developments or businesses were created. At some point I thought of recouping first the investment and afterwards continue to grow the city, but I am still thinking of that. Nevertheless, I have sold some SIM, powered up the resulted HIVE and delegated to @leo.voter in order to earn some LEO tokens. Just some economics behind it as well, nice to see this great ecosystem that allows to spread one way or the other.
Here is the work that I've done in my city lately and the overall stats on it:
- Sold some of my SIM tokens for HIVE to recoup part of the investment
- Used ENTRY tokens to participate to Splinterlands tournaments which provide me some income on top
- Sold some Immigrants and Homeless, which really are pleasant surprises and help with the return
- City market value decreased under 40k SIM (Current estimates at 35k)
And an overall look of the city.
Stay tuned and keep on visiting my city.
