As you say there are a lot of "Fans" of sports. Some teams or groups can offer discounts to those that hold their fan token, example A team hat cost 20 Dollars, for every 100 tokens you have you can reduce the price of said hat down to two dollars and fifty cents. Fans might then buy and hold those tokens just for the discounts they can receive.
