Greetings friends!

Today we will see the latest series Cats (1993) postage stamp issued in North Korea in 1983 and conclude our journey through North Korea.

This postage stamp, like the previous postage stamps in this series, has Domestic Cat (Felis silvestris catus), and the denomination of this postage stamp is also 10 North Korean chon.

As you can see, these postage stamps are not very informative, we can only see different portraits of domestic cats.

But, each series of postage stamps has its own history.

Sometimes, this story is kept in the strictest confidence and the decision to issue a series of postage stamps is made solely by the supreme ruler.

At that time, until 1994, Kim Il Sung was the leader of North Korea.

It is believed that the years of his reign were the best years for the development of the North Korean economy and the well-being of its citizens.

Since there is no information about the history of the creation of this series of postage stamps, it is possible to make some assumptions that despite their fantastic nature, they may turn out to be true.

It is possible that this series of five postage stamps depicts cats that belonged to himself, Kim Il Sung.

I doubt that this great honor could go to cats that were owned by mere mortals, lol.

But, another scenario is possible.

Like any leader of the country, Kim Il Sung dreamed of making his country a great power and dreamed of North Korea being spoken of as a country with something to be proud of.

For example, in China, there is the Great Wall of China, in France there is the Eiffel Tower, in Egypt there are pyramids, the Amazon is the deepest river, Everest is the highest mountain, and what is the most, in North Korea?

I think this question tormented him.

One day in March, he was awakened by a loud sound coming from the street outside his residence.

He went out onto the balcony and realized that this was the screaming of the March cats, many of whom roamed the streets of Pyongyang.

Eureka, Kim Il Sung thought.

He decided to create the world's largest series of postage stamps, on which people will see thousands of cats!

At the next Politburo, he announced that every member of the Politburo should bring a cat to the next meeting.

Anyone who does not bring a cat will be shot from a large-caliber machine gun, fed to dogs and burned in an atomic furnace.

fifteen minutes later, all the members of the Politburo were running through the, streets of Pyongyang and catching cats.

But, Kim Il Sung did not specify in what form they should bring him cats.

Each member of the Politburo wants to please his leader.

Someone cooked a cat in sweet and sour sauce, someone baked it with vegetables, someone marinated it in soy sauce, etc only five members of the Politburo, the poorest, who had no money for soy sauce and other ingredients, decided to bring live cats to the next meeting.

Kim Il Sung loved to eat well and did not shoot those who cooked dishes from cats and the series of postage stamps turned out to be not so significant, but pretty.

It was probably the biggest banquet in the world, and North Korea has become the quietest country in the world, because now, in March, cats have stopped screaming, lol.

Let's take a look at this postage stamp.

Судя по всему, это не последняя марка в серии.
