Postage stamps - Tiger (Panthera tigris) - series 100th anniversary of the Moscow Zoo - USSR 1964 - Michel 2919 - my hobby.

Greetings friends!

Philately as a hobby is very informative.

Stereotypical thinking made me think that all the stamps in my collection are for postage, but as it turns out, there are stamps for other purposes.

We will talk about this later, but today we will continue to put together a series of USSR stamps, the release of which was timed to coincide with the centenary of the Moscow zoo.

So far, we've connected five postage stamps and it's time to turn to the sixth postage stamp, which shows a tiger.

This stamp was 12 kopecks in denomination and, at the time, it was expensive.

This postage stamp is one of the rarest stamps in this series, as its circulation is 3,000,000 copies, while the circulation of other stamps from this series is 5 and 4 million.

It follows from this that, two million owners of previous postage stamps, will not be able to collect a complete collection of seven postage stamps.

At that time, I will talk about the time, which, I already remember, is closer to the eighties, for 12 kopecks, you could buy a ticket to the cinema and, for the remaining 2 kopecks, you could call your mother and say that you skipped school lessons , lol.

The fact is that 10 kopecks were allowed to buy a ticket for the morning session, when the children's films were shown, for those who studied in the second shift.

But, as a rule, those children who studied in the second shift slept peacefully at home, and those who studied in the first shift went to cinemas and skipped classes.

It was risky, because, sometimes, the session stopped, the lights turned on and the vigilantes entered the hall, people with red bands on their arms.

This was fraught with consequences, but this did not stop true lovers of cinema.

For me, this story is of practical importance.

As you can see, these same stamps existed in the version with teeth.

I only have this brand. I have to find six more stamps from this series.

There are already three postage stamps in our series.
