Postage Stamp - National icebreaker fleet - Icebreaker "Pilot" - USSR 1976 - Michel 4558 - my hobby.

Greetings friends!

Any postage stamp, any country in the world, is a historical legacy.

As a rule, postage stamps of the same type were issued only once in their entire history, in one circulation.

But, there were cases when some countries used the same type of postage stamps, with minor changes, an example can be the postage stamps of Portugal of the nineteenth century.

But I have not seen anything like this among the postage stamps of the Soviet Union.

You can treat the Soviet Union in different ways, but we must pay tribute, their postage stamps were of high quality and interesting.

These postage stamps tell a lot.

For example, about the time of stagnation in the country.

Imagine for a moment this situation.

You, the owner of the whole country, its head.

The regime in the country is totalitarian.

You do not want that in the face of your citizens, you looked like a tyrant who drinks all the juices from your native land.

You need to give people bread and a spectacle.

But, in view of some circumstances, you cannot boast of your achievements to the people.

There is a period of stagnation.

What can you do to make the people admire your merits?

Show them progress!

But how if, around, devastation?

Issue a series of postage stamps that will show clear progress from the time of Tsarist Russia to the day the series of postage stamps was issued.

Indeed, in 1976, 1977 and 1978, many series of postage stamps were released, in which the evolution of various modes of transport is observed: ships, planes, trains and cars.

This is a cheap way to show the people your services to them.

In addition, at the expense of postage stamps, the treasury was well replenished, because, then, there were a lot of philatelists and all letters were sent in paper envelopes, on which postage stamps were glued.

So, let me introduce you, a series of stamps "National icebreaker fleet", issued in 1976 in the USSR.

The first postage stamp shows "Icebreaker "Pilot"".

This icebreaker, dating from Tsarist Russia, is actually a twin-screw tug, the bow of which was changed in such a way that it could, as it were, crawl out of the water onto the surface of the ice and break the ice with its weight.

With this small ship, and a postage stamp with a denomination of 4 kopecks of the USSR, a report to compatriots began about the work done by the government.

In my series, so far, there is only a canceled postage stamp and it is three times cheaper than a clean version of such a postage stamp.

Let's take a look at this postage stamp.

Important!

  1. Please note that the cost of shipping postage stamps to other countries can be many times more expensive than the postage stamp itself, approximately $ 5.5.

  2. I see that it is not profitable to purchase one postage stamp if, suddenly, you need to replenish your collection. It is always more profitable to purchase the entire series, and, surplus, to change, or sell.

  3. If you decide to buy a postage stamp online, be careful. sometimes sellers use stock images. But this option is unacceptable. You need to see exactly the product that you are buying.

  4. If you are afraid that the postage stamp sellers will want to deceive you, you are doing the right thing, do not doubt it.

  5. To get started with this hobby, buy a good magnifying glass, tweezers with flat and thin edges and a stockbook for postage stamps, they will come in handy.

  6. When buying postage stamps, pay special attention to the back of the postage stamp. The adhesive layer must not be damaged.

  7. There is such an expression - How many people, so many opinions, this also applies to sellers of postage stamps. Each of them believes that his postage stamp is in perfect condition, but only you yourself can find the perfect postage stamp for yourself.

  8. Sometimes, a small, white scrap of paper with a round stamp on it and a number inscribed in the center circle can be a very valuable postage stamp from the days when postage stamps were not printed.

  9. The cost of a postage stamp is determined by supply and demand, but usually in catalogs you can see the estimated cost of a postage stamp in Pounds Sterling.

To be continued.

For my publications, I do not use stock photographs, it is fundamentally important for me to use photographs that I have made with my own hands for publication and I can name them - authorial work.
