Why didn't I buy more ADA when it was cheap?

Today is a good day for ADA. I don't know anything yet about ADA. But from a trader's perspective, I received a buy call from one of my friends around 1 month back when everything in the crypto world was in a blood bath. People were thinking that it was the end of the bull run. Well, that was not the case. We all know the emotions of the traders right?

That is when a friend of mine asked me to invest in ADA and wait a long term. I was initially hesitant and just because he was telling me, I planned to invest a little bit. I bought ADA when the price was around 1.1 USD. I know that was a great price if we compare it with today's price. But I did not invest much. The main reason was that I did not have enough liquidity in hand. Today after seeing the price of ADA, it made me think why I didn't buy more ADA when it was available cheap.

Recently I again bought a little ADA when the price was 1.3 USD and I did not care about wait a bit longer to make a decent profit. I still don't know if the current price is also a great price to purchase ADA. My friend invested around 100,000 USD into ADA especially when the price was 1.02 USD. Just imagine how much confidence he would have had on ADA. Today he would have reached a 50% profit as the price of ADA is well above 1.5 USD.

I'm not very curious to invest at this current price. I know it is a bit risky because we are in the bull market and even BTC is doing well. But I don't want to miss it if the price of ADA goes to 5$ either in short term or long term. Or I can just sit back and relax with whatever I already have. I guess that should also work well. Maybe there will be another token out there that will have a good potential to pump and give us some nice profits.

I guess here is a small mindset change that I should be doing. I'm so hesitant to invest or explore ETH-based coins. The main reason is that I'm not finding it comfortable to spend so much on the Gas fees which is insane. Some people might argue saying that they get enough profit for transacting in ETH which compensates the gas fees they are paying. This hasn't gone into my head yet. That was also one of the reasons why I was not comfortable about purchasing ADA or investing in ADA.

There was also another reason why I was not confident. Maybe this parameter isn't a big deal if we think about investing on something. But I checked their Github stats and noticed that there were no big commits happening in the last few months compared to last year. Like I said this may not be a big deal at all. Maybe ADA is already stabilized and it doesn't need frequent developments. But definitely, some activity is there on their Github.

I tend not to check the Githubs for the crypto projects but I should start checking to ensure there is progress. So thanks for the tip.

I also found it out only recently from one of the fellow bloggers. Looks like it is a good way to find out if there is real activity/development happening. !BEER

There are always going to be opportunities. TLM is one of them now.

Lol thanks for the heads up about TLM. It was insane and I wonder how people are mad to keep the price high. The TLM received from the game is also very good.

Why didn't I buy more of x when it was cheap... x being pretty much anything. I've said the same about Apple stock in the past (I bought some when it hit rock bottom around 2004, but not nearly as much as I wish I had), about bitcoin (I was telling everyone I knew to buy it when it was 3k, but I only bought a little myself), even about doge (as nothing more than a joke coin, I thought for sure it would crash back down to under a penny, but now look... it's almost 15 cents!). No regrets, my friend, because there are always things to regret if we let ourselves. There will be plenty of opportunities in the future.

Yes true I agree that there will always be opportunities. Today for example the red market provides good investment opportunity. Some of the coins that I wanted to buy cheap are already available for cheap price. Good time to make use of my USDT holding either to trade short term or purchase and hold for long term.
