My Blurt Experience

avatar

Lately, I've seen many articles here on Leo that are talking about Blurt. A few weeks ago I started to publish stuff on Blurt and now it's time to share my experience. In case you haven't heard, Blurt forked from Steem just like HIVE did some time ago. It means if you used Steem before May 5th, 2020th, you can log in your Blurt account with your Steem keys and you'll have just as much BLURT as you had Steem on the 5th of May.

If you have never used Steem before, don't do it, it's not worth it. Only maybe if you write in the Korean language. It's now time for HIVE/LeoFinance, and maybe Blurt! Today Blurt got listed on CoinGecko. You can go and add BLURT to your favorites to earn a vote. The price is already rising - let's see how high it can go!

Before We Jump In

Do you know the meaning of the word ''blurt''?

It means you can blurt about whatever you want. Start writing and whatever comes out will be your blurt. And the best thing - your blurt earns you crypto. Crypto that can later be exchanged to whatever currency you like the best (or need at the time).

I use blurt to get my writing juice going. Whatever's on my mind at the time, I'm sharing on blurt. It allows me to sort out my thoughts and publish something more polished on LeoFinance or some other place online.

My Experience

22 days have passed since I created my first post called Blurting BOI. Even though I didn't use rights tags, like #introduceyourself, for example, I managed to get 2 upvotes. 7 days later I got paid a little over 13 BLURT tokens (1 BLURT - $0.03 at the moment).

But I didn't stop there. In the last 22 days, I have published 11 blurts with an overall payout of 200 BLURT and an average of 18 BLURT per post. Some of my posts had zero votes and I think it's because I'm not really active there except for posting articles. But when I did get upvotes, they were really good.

For example, in this post, I wrote about how much I enjoy cannabis and it got me more than 97 BLURT (about $2.7 at the moment). As you can see, I used the tag #blurt420 which is specifically about weed.

My second most successful blurt at the moment is called ''Blurt Doesn't Hurt'' and it got me about 59 BLURT. Even though the price of one BLURT is small, this place definitely has the potential to go higher. As many of you have experienced it with HIVE/ LEO and other coins, BLURT can now be a part of your game too.

Referral Rewards

Just a few days ago Blurt created a referral system where if you invite someone to Blurt, you'll earn 3% from their posts for a month. I think it's pretty cool, taking the fact that most of the posts are getting pretty good payouts. It's up to you, how many people you can invite to join. And if you create a great tutorial, they'll probably earn more meaning you will earn more.

To join Blurt with my invitation, press on the cute banner above that I created on Canva.com
It's a great way to help @bagofincome on his journey of earning money online.

Thank you for reading and have a productive week ahead!

Steem is really taking an interesting turn. It is now to the point where it is not even worth thinking about. It will likely underperform going forward since the development does not seem to be there.

I agree! My number 1 is Leo but there's still a free place for number 2. Will it be Blurt? Time will tell.

To me Blurt is a token to hold as a lottery ticket. If it moons I will be happy. For now I have it delegated out to someone who is curating over there.

That's a initiative - to delegate instead of selling. Nobody knows what the future will bring.

I have lately created a post about these 3 platforms and their differences... As @taskmaster4450le said, Steem is going down very soon... Yes, it's "worth" (coin) more than Hive atm, but that's mainly because of the name...

Hive is starting to be "more than a blogging platform", and I like that it is like that...

Blurt is something in the middle... I think that the main competition of Blurt is actually our Hive tribes, like LEOFinance, Palnet, CTPTalk... I'm not sure about the future and possibilities there, but I would like to see some improvements and results... It's a good thing to have a good competition... ;)

Great, I'll check it out!

I agree that HIVE is becoming more than just a blogging platform and it's brilliant!

And yes, Blurt is mainly competing against Leo and similar blogging communities. Let's see where it can go!
