Why are you getting only half of the payout?

Because the other half goes to all the curators (upvoters). It means, if your LEO vote is worth $10, you'll receive $5 (50%) back in LEO when the post is paid out. Payout happens 7 days after publishing your post (or comment). It means if you join today and create an introduction post, you'll receive your payout in LEO one week later. Meanwhile, you can create more posts and engage with other users because comments also earn!

You're Actually Getting More

Here's the thing. The earnings we calculated were only LEO earnings. If you didn't know, LeoFinance.io is just a tiny part of the HIVE blockchain. Everything you publish on Leo appears also on HIVE because it's the power of blockchain! What does it mean for a simple user? The curation rate and payout system on HIVE is a bit different and I don't want to lie to you but it's about 50% that goes to the author if I'm not mistaken.

If you look more into what @tin.aung.soe is doing with his newly created account, you can clearly see he is thrilled to be here! And not only that, he even bought some HIVE and all the earnings he gets are used to power up his account. It's also the beauty of HIVE and blockchains overall, the transparency and ability to see what each one of us does with his earnings.
