Airdrop Era Continues - NFT Artists and Holders Get $PAINT from MurAllArt

Another day, another airdrop to some lucky crypto people. What an exciting time to be alive! This time, more than 45 thousand wallets got an airdrop distributed from the MurAll Art Project. There were two snapshots taken last year and now the eligible wallets can claim some $PAINT on their page. To see if you're eligible, check their Medium Announcement.

Thanks to some experimenting with Rarible last year, I got the airdrop and right now, it's worth more than $2000! This is one of the reasons why it can be really profitable to try out new things, especially when it comes to crypto. Although I didn't sell my artwork and even forgot about that experiment, I have now gained much more than I spent minting it.

What is MuralArt?

As you can see in the image below, there are lots of different ''artworks'', some drawn over others. From what I understood, this is the Mural. Whenever you create artwork on MurAll, it will be displayed on the main canvas. It's like collaborative art.

Drawing and $PAINT token

You can draw your NFT's instantly on MuralArt if you want. To do that, you will have to spend some $PAINT. The price is 0.5 PAINT for each pixel. It means that every new artwork burns the supply of PAINT. Right now, the supply is huge (etherscan) but as the user count increases and the main Mural fills up, we will probably hear more of this token.

Airdrop

It turns out that I got a little over 1 million PAINT tokens and right now, they are worth more than $2000! From what I've witnessed in the last couple of months, hodling is much more profitable so that's my plan now. I don't know if I will draw a painting as I'm not a painter but maybe I'll put some type of ad with my tag on it. We'll see.

Snapshots and requirements

• 42.02% going to known artists (we have a list of 8824 addresses collated from Known Origin/Rarible/SuperRare/Async Art, snapshotted 15/11/2020; each address will be able to claim 1,048,576 PAINT — enough for 1 entire coverage of >MurAll) totalling 9,252,634,624 PAINT

• 40% to existing NFT holders (we collated a list of 45511 addresses of ERC721 NFT hodlers with both incoming and outgoing ERC721 transactions and thus demonstrate competency with ERC721, snapshotted 18/12/2020; each address will be able to claim 193,537 PAINT) totalling 8,808,062,407 PAINT

Conclusion

Congrats if you got the airdrop but don't worry if you haven't. When you miss a bus, another will come. I know you haven't missed the Cub Finance and Project Blank snapshots to receive some tasty airdrops as early as tomorrow.

As for NFT's, they're hot now! I don't know for how long it will continue but this experience made my day and therefore I hope that NFT's are here to stay. I'm pretty sure that most of them will disappear once the bull run ends but we're still in the bull and if there's money, why wouldn't we take it?
