My First Two Days in Cub Finance | Harvesting Like Crazy

Remind me again how we get attracted to BSC Defi?

When I first came about Leo Finance, the wrapping LEO on Uniswap was a big thing... I tried to wrap my head around the concept of DeFi, but I just couldn't and worse I do not have the capability to indulge in the system that eats up a lot of money on gas fees alone. So I left it at that, and never really thought of myself to be capable of joining the DeFi scene.

Then came the Binance Smart Chain - BSC, which offered platforms for farming and to provide liquidity at very low transaction fees.

So now, most of us are dipping our toes into the DeFi scene, thanks to Leo Finance which gave us Cub Finance.

With high anticipation, we patiently waited for weeks until the the launch of Cub Finance. And now, less than three days later, I can say that I am really enjoying the ride.

We're staking, we're farming!

Yey! So since the launch of Cub Finance, while waiting for the CUB Airdrop, I started providing liquidity and staking at the den to kickstart my (meager) CUB earning.


Hello, Cub! I Entered The Den

Those seemingly harmless transaction fees actually add up!

Each time I see "harvest", I have the eagerness to click, because I want to reinvest my earnings and take advantage of the high returns!

Would you believe that these figures at the left were spent only in one day, at the beginning of my Cub Finance journey?!

So yeah, I spent $5 approving contracts, providing liquidity, staking, and mindless harvesting.

That's where I think I had my problem - because of my eagerness to reinvest into the den, I harvested even those yields that are still low. Now I am trying to hold my horses and not harvest anything unless it is worth it.

So far, given the current price of $CUB, I think I have already broken even with the fees I incurred on all transactions. I am optimistic that $CUB will do well and we will all reap nice gains in this endeavor.

A lot of us are new to this...

While the gains on Defi are enticing, it is to be considered that the risks are also high and that we must always, always not put in what we cannot afford to lose.

It is funny to see how quick things change in crypto world.
At the CUBDEFI start I was harvesting also maybe every 10 minutes.
But...in less that 2 days this HYPE seem to becoming into boring routine.

I come back now every 1-1.5 hours, and soon I may do it even more occasionally.
Or shouldn't I ?

I know I know, compounding interest is such a powerful thing. 😀

At least for you, it's already worth it to come back and harvest after a couple of hours. :D As for me I have only earned around 1.5 cubs in 12hrs, so I won't probably touch that in another 12h. But yeahh, compounding! That's really not to be overlooked.

i am both happy and sad that i have no CUB: i do not need to worry myself with these decisions, but at the same time i do not have the joy of watching money work for me (as opposed to normal life).

I'm lucky to have accumulated some Leo Power and have been eligible for the airdrop. Nothing as sweet as airdrops that actually work. lol.

We'd all love to have that capacity to have our money work for us while we sleep. Hopefully soon.

Congratulations... that’s awesome. It took me a day to figure out how to buy some Cub with my BNB... I finally bought 30 Cub, they are in the Den , earning me about 1 new Cub a day. I think i will only Harvest when I have 2 New Cubs.... so I pay .40 cents to add about $8 worth of Cub at present value.... The APR is dropping quickly

Thank you! I'm so glad I had a bit of practice with Pancakeswap early on that when Cub Finance launched it wasn't as daunting anymore. Still learning a lot from reading posts here though. It's nice.

Yah, the APR changes a lot quickly so the dilemma is to harvest or not to harvest, and let compounding do the work. 😅

I feel like miss the train about Defi. I got my 20 CUB and still dunno how I can do. I still around read everything about this

It can be a bit intimidating at first. It took me a full day of following tutorials after tutorials to learn on Pancakeswap, which I am glad I did before the Cub Finance launch so when the airdrop happened I was able to do away easily already.

Your caution and prudence about DeFi are wise.
I too was concerned about the cost and difficulty, but now have gone into this heavily.

Thank you! Downloading my transaction list for the first day was really an eye opener for me. We (at least I) can't afford to get carried away with these seemingly harmless fees.

PS - I just watched your YT video reviewing the CUB Finance platform. Nicely put! I love watching women talk about crypto. :D
