Its a huge shakeup for some people I think. I know people who've lived paycheck to paycheck, cost averaging a little into BTC the last few years, now watching their portfolio swing up by thousands and now fluctuate by thousands/10s of thousands. I told my friends to expect this once retail investors started chiming in, but dang its a shock.

A bit over a month ago Bitcoin was valued at over $60,000 and everybody was already talking about a $100,000 BTC. Almost nobody was looking down, but that's exactly where the whole crypto market went and still is.

And now everyone is looking down instead of up....with a double resist at 30k. Really makes you go hmmm.

I doubt that there's any fear for the ones dollar cost averaging the past few years. The current price is definitely way up than most of their small entrances in the market.

Well yes, cost averaging has been really nice for people starting around 2018.

I guess my point was I know many people who only got started investing with crypto. So even after cost averaging and being up substantially, for a paycheck to paycheck person to watch a few thousand nestegg explode to multiple 10s of thousands during the Jan-Apr bull market, now to watch it slip back down, its rough.

But yea much less rough than if someone bought 1BTC at $60k. Woof.
