Warning, this post may be considered offensive, as it is not, is just a simple personal opinion.

Hi,

this week one guy that I admired, not because of his publication, but for the way he fought for it, for the entrepreneurship that he had native and the things he did in his lifetime.

He did not finish school as he enrolled in the army. His first enterprise was as a bootlegger, which was at the time as he was 17 and was out of the army. With 17 most of us are far away from the worlds reality. He knew it was dangerous and decided to quit it and join the army on the USS Enterprise, a name that is tight to the US naval history.

After this endeveaour his entrprenurial mastermind came to play. With only $1800 he bought the bar of his mom and made it so profitable that it brought him $1000 a week. Amazing ROI. He was born with business in his blood. As every smart business man, he knew he had to scale it and bought some more bars working hard to bring them on top.

He went into the gogo dancer bars and opened the first Hustler Club, where soon other locations followed. The first Hustler newspaper was only a 2 page paper which promoted his club. A newsletter to say it better.

The financial crisis from 1972 and he was hit hard as people don't go in bars when they have no money. To save itself he made Hustler a sexual explicit magazine, turning it into a pornographic one in 1974. It saved him and his venture.

Because the magazine became popular, it got more attention and he had to fight to keep it publishing. The first amendment, the freedom of speech was his joker. He knew how to use it, as this was only a way of manifestation and speech. Well, despite the many lawsuits, people kept buying it.

It might be something in the culture that most people in the USA avoid the porn discussion and look wondered when we walk in the parks in Germany and see naked people sun bathing but don't say anything if people wear guns. I might be strange, but I like to see naked people than gunslingers. Also the USA, is the number one exporter of porn with the industry being higher than the professional sports and live music in terms of revenue in the country. It is almost as big as the whole movie industry.

Just by this, we can imagine why Larry Flint was fighting for it. It is a very profitable niche, that people like to hide but love to consume, given the numbers.

He was a bad ass, even if I don't agree to his moral conduct, I say he was a bad ass. Despite the hurdles, being paralyzed by a murder attempt, he kept on fighting. He brought to light an industry that was lurking in the shadows. The way he won almost every court was tremendous.

He was so bad ass, that in his biography film, played the judge that wrongfully convicted him.

He was a freedom fighter, but also protected some that needed protection like it was the case of Private Jessica Lynch, where he bought some indecent photos and destroyed them.

We have this days a similar attack on crypto as he had on his magazine, like in Nigeria and India, where people try to forbid it, even if we knew it is all over present.

We need to fight to poses and use crypto, as it is our financial freedom.

If we want to fight, mass adoption before is too late is key.

Agree with you! I'm giving friends that don't know or believe some free crypto and help them get started! Every person added will bring us closer to it.

As Andreas Antonopoulos always states: Money is communication. And if there is no freedom of money, there is no freedom of speech. Wasn't separating church and state a good idea? If not, it's a bad idea to separate money and state.

Separating them is the best idea. We see that religious countries are most backward countries with lack in infrastructure, education and freedom of choice.

Yes, however, remember that statism is a religion, too. Religion builds pyramids. Isn't that infrastructure as well? (At least for tourists?) !invest_vote !ENGAGE 5 !WINE

Full statism is dangerous! Pyramids are just a burial ground for some dude. Now they generate money, of course, but it is not a real piece of infrastructure, like Neuschwanstein.

I find deeply ironic that the person who had advanced the freedom of speech more than any other presumably more "decent" and "mainstream" activist or journalist has died just in the moment when that very concept is being enthuiastically abandonded by their previous "enlightened", "liberal" and "progressive" supporters.

It is a death of an era, a cycle comes to end and maybe some new trends will come out from them, even if in opposition.
