[Crypto Experience] Making a Portis Wallet for Shapeshift

It was a surprise to know Shapeshift switched to a #DeFi approach. It's been months since I last opened their website.

Earlier today I saw @ond's buzz about their Fox project, which is similar to #LeoFinance's CubDefi and other Liquidity Pool projects. The difference it seems in how their token Fox works. I thought it was cool after reading their Benefits page, which I captured as image in this buzz.

I was asked how to get Fox, so I decided to register on #Shapeshift. Below you'll find my experience with the registration process.

First I needed to sign up for one of the wallets Shapeshit recommened. I didn't have any hardware Wallet so I figured I either download Shapeshift app or make a Portis Wallet. I opted for the latter, and the registration was seamless.

Since I wanted to use my funds, I imported my Ethereum Wallet into my Portis Wallet. I'm glad the option exists, but I'm wary about giving my seed code to. (I don't recommend connecting your main ETH wallet to this.)

I checked if I'm eligible to Airdrop. Unsurprisngly, I wasn't:

I also got the Sign Up bonus of 10 FOX but I can't claim them until I get 90 more through trading. Not sure if that'll ever happen.

This wasn't a serious post as I'm only explaining what I did today. If you're interested in Shapeshift's new approach, I found a great article by @daily-coin that explains what's happening ~~with the company~~ right now.
