HOW DO YOU MANAGE STRESS || DAY 11 OF 30 DAYS BLOGGING CHALLENGE

We all get stressed out at a point in time, could come from a frustrating activity, the work we do, the people we interact with but everyone has different ways they tackle and manage stress.

For the sake of those who might not know what stress is, below is a simple definition of stress.

Stress is the reaction your body gives after partaking in a frustrating/strenuous activity. From Google, it is described as the feeling of emotional or physical tension.

Stress is not always a bad thing but it helps annul our body to the situation, activity or work task we are in. What I mean is when we are given an activity, stress is what helps us make the activity done in no time. It also helps us in times of dangerous situation, to keep our mind and body active and possibly save our lives but at its peak, stress becomes harmful to our health and we need to learn to manage it in these cases.

As I said earlier, in the introduction of this topic, we all have our way or activities we do to manage stress. If at any point, I feel stressed out, I try to do any of the following:

1. TAKE A MEDICATION: I do this as headaches, body pains can be symptoms of stress and to get me back to balance, I find drugs that can calm my nerves and solve the way I feel.

2. TAKE A NAP/HAVE A SHORT REST: When in a stressed condition, the brain needs rest. Taking a nap or a short sleep recuperate the nerves of the brain thereby helps relieving stress.

3. FIND A NICE MEAL TO EAT: Many people get tired and possibly hungry after a stressful activity as I am no different. Eating helps gives the body back some of its energy and also relaxes the body.

4. TAKE A CHILLED SOFT DRINK: In the absence of having anything to eat, the soft drink works really fine for me. As the sugar content in the drink can later be used to produce energy to the cells in my body. I take a soft drink especially when I am stressed in a traffic.

5. PLAYING MY GUITAR: Playing the guitar can be stressful which is very true but having to play my guitar in a relaxing position helps me manage stress. I do this even when I am on the sick bed, and my mum wonders why I choose to play the guitar lying sick on bed but she doesn't understand that I feel relaxed having to pluck each strings from the guitar and hearing out the gentle music produced from the guitar.
