Hello everyone, today I bring you my entry in the @ocd contest for the @theanimerealm community. I decided to talk about the anime that marked my childhood in the most significant way, and that is:

The Galactic Tournament.

First a brief review, Saint Seiya is a Japanese anime that began to be transmitted in that country in 1986, would begin to become famous in that country and then around the world, today there are several sagas, but the main one tells the story of five protagonists, Ikki of Fenix, Shun of Andromeda, Hyoga of Swan, Shiryu of Dragon and Seiya of Pegasus, the knights protectors of the reincarnation of the goddess Athena, a young girl named Saori Kido. Her grandfather, Mitsumasa Kido, creates a foundation of which Saori is the director. It all starts at the galactic tournament, where the bronze knights gather to fight each other for a golden armor, the most powerful among all the constellations of the zodiac. We are introduced to the characters and how they all end up in that tournament. The fights begin between the knights where we begin to see the powers of each of them, who fight using an energy that they call Cosmos with which they can invoke powers based on their constellations. When Shun defeats Jabu of Unicorn, the tournament is interrupted by Ikki of Fenix, who introduces himself as the first antagonist and starts the first saga.

Ikki, after having suffered many hardships during his training on Devil's Island, decides to do away with the Kido organization and the knights because, in his opinion, their purposes are evil. Shun, Jabu and Nachi try to stop him but are easily defeated by the Fenix, who escapes from the place stealing the armor in the process with the help of the shadows of the Fenix, the black knights. The five protagonists go to retrieve the armor and in the process we are introduced to other characters. such as Mu de Aries, a golden knight. After defeating Ikki appears Docrates, the real villain sent from the sanctuary to recover the armor, Ikki defeats him and dies in the battle with Docrates, other knights are sent from the sanctuary to recover the armor where Saori and the knights realize that there is something else they do not know yet, and after losing all parts of the golden armor of Sagittarius except the helmet, they leave for the sanctuary, to begin what is perhaps the most famous saga of this series.

After facing the silver knights, the knights of Athena travel with Saori to the sanctuary, where she is wounded by an arrow and to save her, the knights must cross the twelve houses to make the patriarch remove the arrow from her heart and for that, they have 12 hours, the first house is Aries whose guardian is Mu, who is on the side of the knights and repairs their armor, the knights continue their way and fight against Aldebaran of Taurus, in the house of Gemini the knights are separated by a strange power, Seiya and Shiryu manage to cross and advance to the next battle which is in the house of Cancer, where Shiryu fights against Deathmask, who is defeated by the evil of his heart, Seiya fights against Aioria of Leo, defeating him almost to the extreme.

The remaining knights continue to the house of Virgo where they are stopped by Shaka, there they have a battle that end with Ikki making a sacrifice for kill Shaka and that way the other knights can keep going, At the house of Libra they find Hyoga frozen in a huge block of ice by Camus, his master, in a battle they have before, and Shun decides to sacrifice himself to save the swan after Shiryu breaks the ice using one of Libra's weapons, Seiya and Shiryu continue and meet Milo of Scorpio, who defeats them easily but Hyoga appears recovered and carry on with Shun and figth with him, making he open his eyes to the reality and making stop the figth when he almost kill him, Shiryu fights against the knight of Capricorn, Hyoga fights against Camus of Aquarius and Shun against Aphrodite of Pisces, leaving Seiya the final battle against the patriarch, who is Saga of Gemini, this is confronted by Seiya and Ikki, Seiya manages to save Athena and this defeats Saga, who had a dual personality and ends up committing suicide to save the goddess.

In a distant land, Hilda of Polaris is possessed by a strange force coming from the sea and it places the Nibelung ring on her finger, which possesses her and makes her evil, she declares war on the sanctuary and awakens the seven legendary armors of the Warrior Gods of Asgard, Athena suffers an attack from which she is saved by her knights protectors and because of this, the goddess decides to go to Asgard to resolve the situation, the goddess decides to go to Asgard to resolve the situation, after arriving they find out what is happening, the Asgard ice is about to melt and will flood the world, Saori decides to use her power to stop this for a few hours and the knights go to fight against the warrior gods to save the world. , To defeat the Nibelung of Hilda they must awaken the sword of Balmung, and this will be achieved using the seven sapphires of Odin, embedded in the armor of the warrior gods, Thor of Phecda gamma is defeated by Seiya, Shiryu defeats Phenril of Alioth Epsilon and almost dies in combat, Hyoga fights and defeats Hagen of Merak Beta in one of the longest fights in the history of this anime, Shun and Ikki manage to narrowly defeat Mime of Benetnasch Eta, Alberich of Megrez Delta is confronted by several knights and in the end it is Shiryu who defeats him, Cid of Mizar Zeta is defeated by Shun and in the end, Sigfrid Dubhe of Alpha who first defeats them all together but then is defeated by Shiryu and Seiya, the latter puts on the armor of Odin and manages to remove the ring to Hilda, saving Asgard and the world.

Poseidon.

The knights are again forced to fight when Saori is kidnapped by a huge sea wave, they are warned that she has been taken to the bottom of the sea by the God Poseidon and they go there to save her. There are seven generals of Poseidon and each one guards a pillar that must be destroyed to save Saori, Bian de Caballo de Marino is the first to be defeated by Seiya, and declared by him as the weakest that he has faced. Eo of Scylla fights with Shun, he is defeated and although he spares his life, he dies by sacrificing himself in the destruction of his pillar, Krishna of Crisaor is defeated by Shiryu who uses Excalibur, the power he obtained from Shura, the golden knight of Capricorn, Kaza from Leunmades is defeated by Ikki from Fenix, Isaac from Kraken is defeated by Hyoga and Sorrento from Siren is defeated by Shun, who, reluctant to unnecessary violence, spares his life, this is how he manages to observe the final confrontation between Ikki and Kanon of Sea Dragon, who is the culprit of Saga's madness and what happened in Asgard. Kanon's goal is for Athena and Poseidon to fight to the death to later dominate the world, this is defeated along with Poseidon, whose pillar is destroyed by the union of the powers of all the Athena knights.

Hades.

The last of the main sagas of Saint Seiya, this is divided into 3 parts, the Sanctuary, Hell and the Elysion, in the Sanctuary, after 243 years of the last holy war, the seal of Hades is weakened and it is released together With their ghosts, some of them are sent to the sanctuary to assassinate Athena, the golden knights killed in the battle of the 12 houses, who after having very hard fighting manage to reach the goddess, with the help of Shaka, who sacrifices herself, Athena understands the real reason for the betrayal of Camus, Shura and Saga, and in the end she lets herself be killed by Saga and descends to the underworld to confront Hades, the knights follow her to bring her back and there they fight against the strongest specters leaving us memorable battles and the return of characters who now come to help, such as Kanon who dies for Athena fighting Radamanthys of Wyvern.

In hell they defeat the three judges of the underworld along with the rest of the ghosts and come across Giudecca, the wailing wall, which separates the gods from men and can only be destroyed by the light of the sun, the which would never shine in the Underworld, then in an epic scene the twelve golden armors meet and combine their cosmos in the arrow of Sagittarius and this is thrown into the wall, causing an opening, the golden knights die and the bronze knights manage to cross because their Armors have been resurrected with the blood of a god, except Ikki who can cross with a Pandora pendant, in the Elysion the knights face the Gods Thanatos and Hypnos, thus awakening the Godcloths, the divine armors, the powerful ace of the army of Athena and with them, they manage to defeat them and go to the final battle against Hades, who turned out to be an incarnation of Shun, he shows his real body and fights to the death against the knights, Seiya in an effort Superhuman manages to hit him and almost dies, and Athena ends it uniting her cosmos with that of the knights, ending Hades' era of darkness and telling his faithful soldiers: let's return to the world full of light.

This is an anime of yesteryear that perhaps today already feels a little old, and it is, the advancement of its plot is unnecessarily slow, despite playing a lot with drama and feeling, their fights are a bit static but well narrated and animated, yes, without a doubt, one of the best points in its favor is the enormous nostalgia it gives us when we listen to its melodies, which in my opinion are the best that exist in anime, along with the famous opening of Pokemon, another pretty good saga but that to my taste, does not compare with Pegasus Fantasy or with the powerful melody that opens the Hades saga: Chikiuyi by Yumi Matsuzawa, or one of the best ending's songs I ever hear: Kimi to Onaji Aozora of the same artist. Even their versions and voices in Spanish are very good, plus its story is quite emotional, at all times speaks of all the fateful journey that Seiya and his friends have to suffer to save the world, no doubt an anime of yesterday that will be enjoyed forever and that fills our hearts with nostalgia to hear his name, that's for me Saint Seiya.
