IAAC Day 71 | My 50-30-20 Rule
Friday fun day!!! I'm sure you'll feel my excitement about another weekend. LOL! So I was off running errands and doing priority tasks first. It was a race against time. Yup, the first was to reach the bakery that closes at 5:30pm. I left the office at 5pm. It was a 900m walk. Whew! It's fortunate I'm fit for the task. Next was the water supply at home. I had to do some laundry before water runs out again at night! Boohoo! This broken pump truly is no fun.
All's well that ends well. It's always good to have a plan. I almost always list down tasks needed to be done, chronologically at times, so I could achieve them all.
Today I shared about my own 50-30-20 rule in handling finances. I gained an insight in it when I tried my hand at financial advising some years back. Of course, in real life it's not always easy to follow the rule to a T. But I have somehow managed. You can adopt this rule and customize it to your situation. The numbers refer to the percentage alloted to each category (needs): 50% expenses, 30% savings, 20% lifestyle. That's my rule as it applies to my circumstances. I use this same principle now for my Hive account. I'm actually still testing it out. So far, so good.
Have a fun weekend! I still have one more day of work left for the week. I'll see you on tomorrow's video! Ta-tah!
