Paying with gold in Venezuela - We Are Alive IAAC #76 - July 30, 2021
Hello friends of Hive, I am still without broadband service, a problem that the phone company does not care to solve. A very rainy day in my town with a maximum of 28ºC, not having broadband internet I can not enter the crypto markets and I lose many opportunities, but I have to be patient with bothering I do not gain anything.
In the south of the country especially in the state of Bolivar where there are the largest gold mines in Venezuela, due to hyperinflation and shortage of cash people buy products with gold in stores, gold has always been a store of value but in Venezuela we have to use it as currency, total madness this inflation we are living.
Even though gold is a common way to pay in stores, the dollar is used as the main currency in these states.
Even though the official currency is still the bolivar, prices in Venezuela have been dollarized for several months.
I am alive, living in a country where hyperinflation is slowly killing us. Thanks for reading my post.

How can a country be so dependent on the dollar?
This will really make things to be more hard for the citizens.
Look at gold that is stored is publicly used to purchase items in regions that should be richly blessed with country's currency.

It is a pity that in a country the official currency is not worth anything, here all prices are in dollars and if you want to pay in local currency they calculate the equivalence to the price of the day in the parallel market and every day it goes up.
