March Effect In April: March In April

I’m sure many people will agree with me when I say there are a lot of events that affect our lives in the month of April. Hello Hivians, I’m Fashatioluwa of Hive, and today I’ll be sharing with you some events that happened last month that still have effects in the month of April.

Last month was a month of celebration for both Christians and Muslims because we had something that reminded us of the God we served. Last month was a tough month for me because I was involved in a family project that has been ongoing since January but was put on hold due to the economic difficulties we found ourselves in the country. Hyperinflation left and right, which made it very difficult to purchase the materials to continue the project.

The truth is that, in the month of March, I was already giving up on the project due to the financial state I found myself in. Then boom, March came around, and it was Easter. I never wanted to celebrate it because I found no reason to celebrate, but my mom wouldn’t let me be on my own. She’s always calling to remember each day of Easter in the month of March.

I decided to visit home to celebrate Easter with them, and on that day, we all went to church, and the sermon that was said by the pastor was almost directed at me. “Why give up on God?” was the topic. I thought deeply about everything, and I felt like I had given up on God. Some people don’t have the knowledge I have about hives, and they haven’t even achieved what I have, so why was I grumpy about everything?

I started counting my blessings one by one that day, and I saw that I had a lot to be grateful for. That day, I decided to drop the sad, lonely, and depressed version of myself and embrace the optimistic version of myself again. If the Saviour can raise again, then I believe every problem has a solution. Since then, I have put a lot of effort into improving myself and the activities that can earn me money and make my life better, both offline and online.

The target I set for myself has been removed, and I do this at my own pace. March taught me a valuable lesson, and I hope someone reading this will learn from this blog too. Now that I look towards my future with a new perspective, I have no fear of the future anymore. Sometimes those fears come, but it is left for you to fight them and believe in what you're doing and your effort. If you don't trust your effort and you compare it with others, you're setting yourself up for downfall.
