On Wednesdays we always have our mission posts on Liotes. In these posts, we ask you some specific questions regarding a topic.

A couple of days ago I stumbled upon a very interesting article in the Guardian about how the nigerian government is struggling to control bitcoin. I've found this story very interesting because it shows an example of how crypto has a real impact on the lives of private and business people in Nigeria.

The Liotes Mission

By taking part in the Liotes missions, you can win credits that will help you to increase your score and your title in the Liotes Ranking.

Today's challenge

**We would love if you could share with us real examples of how crypto impacts your life or the lifes of people that you know. How does crypto provide a solution to a real problem?

Simply write your answer as a comment below this post!

Everybody who submits an answer will get 3 credits. If you write more than the bare minimum, you will get 2 additional credits.

We are very grateful if you enter the challenge within 24 hours after the post is published. We will try to count entries up to 36 hours after publication.

Crypto impacts my real life in several different aspects.
I have most of my investments in crypto now. But this is only the monetary side of the coin.
I love the possibilities you have with only one blockchain. Hive I am talking about. You can blog you can share your videos or even just play a round of Splinterlands or Rising Star game.
You can use Dbuzz as a clone to twitter and you are immutable and empowered by using the hive ecosystem.
Also all my Splinterlands assets made me an extra salary this year so that changed my life quite a bit.

I agree with you that the possibilities offered on one single blockchain like Hive are amazing. I totally stopped using other social medias or games, I'm on Hive about 100% of my online time :-)

And Splinterlands is definitely getting very interesting from a financial perspective as well!

I retired last year and have been on the Hive Platform for three months. I never had any holdings in Crypto. I am working to supplement my retirement income with all the tools the Hive Platform has to offer and diversify my total assets with Crypto holdings.

I think that Hive offers a very interesting way to build your knowledge and your income. It takes some time but after a while the income it allows to generate can really be a nice side income.

Thanks for taking part in this mission!

For me it's more about the social aspect and creating new connections outside of traditional platforms and not so much about the tokens and crypto $ value earned. It's what drives me more than the $$$ value of everything here which I feel is one of the biggest motivators for most. By not caring much about the $ value to me it's a constant push every day to grow the network, influence and community.

What I like is to build up my network and my relations and at the same time do something for my income. In addition to that I learn new stuff every day... What can we want more :-)

Crypto hasn’t had to big of an impact on my day to day life yet, but as I build up my holdings I can see how easily it might. I’ve done my research and invested in a few projects that I’m hoping will turn some profit in the next few years. The biggest issue crypto solves for me right now is ownership of digital assets. The biggest example of this for me right now is Splinterlands. I have always loved card games, but until now any digital cards I had in other games were stuck there, and weren’t really mine. I love that I actually own my Splinterlands collection, and can do whatever I want with it. !LUV 2

Splinterlands is a perfect example of how games will be able to evolve in the future. I see the friends of my kids that invest tons of money into mobile games but in the end all this money will be lost. On games like Splinterlands this is different and becomes a whole new economy by itself.

Well it hasn't really affected me financially yet but I like the change from paying to be a consumer to becoming being paid for my data. For example, I can use Brave and Presearch and get paid for my normal online habits. You can also get paid from games in Splinterlands or Rising Star for playing without going against the rules (usually real money trading is against the rules) since we can move out in-game currency and change it into what we want.

When you manage to monetize your time on the internet instead of financing big corporations, this quite changes the playground I believe. Wait until the time when people start to realize that this is actually possible!

I don't know how much crypto has changed your life, but it has changed mine. And investments are not the most important thing to me. In the time I have left, that is, from the obligatory work to survive, dealing with my family and then hobbies, I have noticed in the last couple of years that my only hobby is writing a blog on the Hive network, or rather, that I use most of my free time here.

And for the first time since I've been working with the internet (I've built websites for clients, I've administered web servers, I've even had blog farms on which I've put Google ads, etc...), here, through the Hive blockchain, I can see how much my work is worth. It's something. But even more important to me is that I am my own master and owner of my content. I never was before.

As far as investments go, I'm not the best. Mostly, all the crypto I have I hodl. I think I made a mistake when BTC fell a couple of months ago...I should have change it into fiat and when it fell, bought it again ...but for that you have to constantly hang out on the exchanges and follow the situation ... oh yeah, maybe I should write a blog on Hive less and follow the exchanges more, haha ... maybe I'll do this next time :) ... well now I trust to @liotes team, they study everything in detail :)

I think I had a very similar journey on the internet, building websites for me or for clients, having websites with google ads... Since I have discovered hive and crypto, it's the first time on this journey that the money I make has a real impact.
I also tend not to care to much about the exchanges and prices of stuff. It just stresses me. I put my eggs in many different baskets and over time I think it pays out and I sleep better :-)

Hehe, crypto has me staying up all hours of the night playing NFT based games, lol. Well, the hope is to be able to make enough passive income to have time to do what I want, instead of being tied to a 9-5 job (nowdays, an 8-5 job).

Imagine the day when you can earn a living playing these games! For time reasons, I had to reduce my activity to Splinterlands and I neglect the other games at the moment. But man I could buy a car with my Splinterlands assets lol
