As your journey begins, you will start to get a range of emotions. At first, you'll be excited for what a journey on Hive can mean, but then it turns into frustration and even confusion...
As a new member of the community, finding your voice is tough and sticking out from the crowd can be even tougher. But don't give up just yet. Over the past 3 and a half years I've been poking and prodding my way through this blockchain and found 3 tips that will guarantee...And yes I said guarantee...Your success!

This blockchain is built by people that are passionate about what it represents for our future online. And they LOVE to talk about it, so guess what you should get into the habit of doing each and every day...
Comment and ENGAGE with these amazing people.
My co-host on the The CryptoManiacs Podcast (@taskmaster4450) has this to say when anyone is worried they aren't getting the results they expected on the blockchain...
"Make 500 comments and then come and tell me how your experience has been..."
Commenting and daily engagement are the fuel to your journey and there are some amazing platforms to get into the habit of commenting daily. From @leomarkettalk to @ctpchat to the hundreds of amazing communities on the chain. Just plug yourself in, and get to know these amazing people.
The more you show up, the more people will get to know you. This cannot be understated, it's CRITICAL to your success here to comment each and every day on other people's content!
Create
I know some people will tell you that Hive is much more than a blogging platform and that's true. But it's still a DAMN good blogging and content delivery platform. And boy do we have options here....
Hey, maybe writing isn't your thing, but gaming is...Why not start a live streaming channel on @vimm
Video games aren't your thing either...No problem take some amazing photographs and plug into the numerous photography communities on the blockchain!
Love to cook? Why no record some videos of your favorite dishes and upload them to 3speak!
Whatever your passion is, there is a home for it on the blockchain...But the key to this success is tip is that, you have to actually CREATE on a constant basis. And if you are just starting out, it's scary. Believe me, I know what that feels like. However the more you create, the better you get at it and the less 'scary' it becomes.
And if you've been commenting along the way, guess who will support the content you create? That's right, those people YOU have been supporting on their blogs and posts as well!
Curate
And finally, let's talk about the best kept secret of Hive and that's the ability for you to curate other people's content and get rewarded for doing so!
I like to think of Hive as this big co-operative. We are all, scratching each other's back and at the end of the day I feel that if you have a passion for this blockchain and community...Get ready for a LOT of back scratches :)
Curation is a 'like button' on steroids. And while it can get a bit complicated trying to figure out when to curate (or upvote) someone's content and how to stretch those votes out to people you wish to support, the more you curate, the more you will understand how it all works.
And here's how it all comes together....
When you COMMENT daily, people will be attracted to what you CREATE. And the more you engage and support people when you CURATE, the cycle comes back to you....The community supports those that put in the effort daily!
Keep at it and show up daily, because there's something amazing being built right here for all of us!

Oh man, I should be increasing my commenting. I think the trick is to have a healthy mix of them all.
Ultimately, activate your activity! I learnt that during the cryptomaniacs podcast yesterday.
I’ve been doing this for about 3 years now, I still get scared but I certainly am better than I was 3 years ago...and I can only get better as long as I don’t stop, so you’re ultimately right..

Folks can talk about all the whiz-bang Hive protocol stuff all they want, but the content is what will bring in the eyeballs, which is what we really need.
Eyeballs will notice all the whiz-bang stuff, they will then comment and curate about all the content and whiz-bang stuff on other venues like Twitter and FB outside of Hive.
This will get the word out to more people, and eventually attract more people who make more cool whiz-bang stuff on Hive
....rinse and repeat.
