POB DAILY CHALLENGE: How I cooked my Jollof Rice Today😁

avatar

Hello everyone this is my #pobdaily post for today Saturday 15th of May 2021.

Thanks to @dwayne16 and @marvinix for the #pobdaily challenge and also thanks for viewing in advance😁.

Today I'll be sharing with you guys how I made Jollof rice today and I will also share the steps on how I cooked mine.

Let's Go

Below are the recipes I used in cooking my own Jollof Rice

Tomato sauce

Salt

Seasoning cubes

Curry&thyme

Rice

Blended Crayfish

Ginger&Garlic

Groundnut oil

How i cooked my Jollof Rice
The first step I took was preparing my Rice by washing it and leaving it in a clean bowl,
then I put a clean pot on the cooker and added little groundnut oil to make it hot.

While the oil was on fire I removed the tomato sauce from the sachet and put it in a clean bowl for me to mix it along with the other ingredients like seasoning cubes, salt, curry&thyme, blended crayfish, and ginger&garlic then I mixed it well for the ingredients to mix accordingly with one another.

After the Oil became hot, i poured the sauce

into the hot oil to fry it a little and left in on fire for about 2-3minutes and I stirred continuously so it wouldn't get burnt.

After stirring, I added the washed rice into the sauce and added enough water to make the rice prepared and covered it.

It took the Jollof rice close to 25minutes to get done, after tasting it on fire and knew it was already done I stirred it well for proper distribution of the sauce😁.

(After Stirring it)

Come And Join Me😋😋

Thank you taking you time to go through this post

HAPPY WEEKEND TO US ALL

I don't think it has an English name😔.
That is what it is called here☺️.I guess it's only Nigeria and Ghana that prepare Jollof. I think the idea "Jollof" is beacuse the rice is cooked along with some ingredients as well all in the same pot.😁

Wow, I will need to learn these from you.

If I can cook this at home, I won't have to keep buying it outside, and this will save me some money.
