Prepare for the best, but expect the worst in relation to crypto rise and fall.

The first time i heard these words was in my sixth grade in college. My mates and I where preparing for the WEST AFRICAN EXAMINATION COUNCIL (WAEC). Out of curiosity we wondered how the examination and results were going to look like.

Some of our seniors who had written they’re examination had gain admission into the university, some had performed well but weren’t able to secure an admission, while some hadn’t performed well at all with bad grades. Now it was our turn and we had no clue of what our fate would be.

One of the Corp members (NYSC teachers) who was transferred to my school, Mr Ajayi, a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University(OAU). Back then, he taught us further mathematics, physics and chemistry.

Knowing fully well that he was brilliant and that he graduated from a university that does not condone laziness, we used to ask him questions related to examinations.

One day he told us not to worry about examinations, he told us that when a student is anxious about a particular examination, even though he is brilliant and well prepared for the examination, the student is liable to make simple and silly mistakes that could lead to his or her failure.

We then asked him that how do we ease our nerves when anxiety sets in, then he told us to Prepare for the best and expect the worst

Prepare for the best in the sense that, we should make sure that we read through every single book/page that possible questions might come from and enter the exam hall fully loaded. Expect the worst in the sense that, we don’t get bothered about the what comes out of the examination as result(being in a state of equanimity). This really worked for many of us who follow the rules , it helped us prepare like our life depend on it and on the other hand it kept our minds free of worries thereby making us to avoid little and silly mistakes that could lead to poor results/failure.

Years after those examinations, I noticed that those rules works practically for every aspect of life. Preparing for the best and expecting the worst would always keep space for a plan B after plan A has been perfected, and would never let one to be caught unaware.

While preparing for the worst, one would have evaluated every possible outcome which would make one prepare for all.

The stock market is not the economy -- PT 2 by @vempromundo inspired this post, where he wrote ….

That way, in addition to the stock exchange, you can analyze all your assets in the same way. Do not tie the value being sold to the actual value of the asset. It is an expectation of what token holders believe it is worth.

While reading through, I noticed that the same rules from my teacher back in college applies to crypto currency. A lot of people are beginning to lost hope thereby getting lazy to create content due to the fact that the pob token has reduced.

These wouldn’t have happened if they had expected worst while planning for the best, and if they knew that the current price of a crypto doesn’t determine the value.

Thanks for reading through. I believe that I have been able to explain the reasons why expecting the worst while planning for the best would save us in every aspect of life.

A very nice write up
In everything we do, we should have the mindset of gaining or loosing, especially on business, which ever one that comes the way should be accepted

Exactly, the earlier one accepts the bad outcome, the earlier he or she filled a solution to it

Interesting read. This is the mindset we ought to have in every area of life. It's better to do our best and fail than not trying at all. At the end of day, you know your effort was exerted no matter the outcome. Doing this will also help one move easily to something else

Quite a lot of wisdom here, bro. I work with these rules too and I've done so almost all my adult life, it really works.👍
