Dear POB users , I assure you that no matter where you engage on POB you are being rewarded heavily .

Being a data analyst , I always like to come to a conclusion through data and statistics . Most of the times we come to a conclusion by just observing our surroundings and what we can see but the reality is different than what we think . So how to decide if what we think and what the reality is , matches ?- Through Data Analysis .
This post is dedicated to that . I actually retrieved this data for my own curiosity of whether there is a need to increase reward distribution for engagement ? Is engagement rewarded less right now ? I then decided to share it with you all .
These are the things we must focus on
Engagement Project
When I started the engagement project for POB I didn't realize it will be as big a success as it is today . It took a lot of effort ( and still takes a lot of effort ) to keep the curation near perfect , making sure the rewards are being sent to those who deserve it and that the time:reward ratio is good .
Now the curation account for the Engagement project - @amr008.pob is 4th in the richlist .
Apart from this , there are 63 different accounts which has delegated POB to @amr008.pob so I am answerable to them too .
How much profits do I make from this project ?
0 . I don't make any profits , all the earnings go to delegators and I receive my dividends based on the delegation I have made just like others .
POB talk - has the engagement project rewarding them for their efforts ?
POB talk is an initative just like LeoMarketTalk which has been around for a long time now .
Task started LMT to increase the engagement and I am an active participant there . I learnt more about Hive from there than anyplace else .
so I know how important POB talk is . Now are they being rewarded properly from the Engagement Project ?
My answer is , yes .
Let's look at this table for more info -
I have taken the data for past 15 days . I have only taken the comments made on the POB talk and the top users are like this -
In the past 15 days , these are the number of comments made by these users on POB talk alone .
Now you can ask me this question - Well they are active elsewhere too so the vote percentage won't dilute when taken that into picture ?
To answer that , I took an example of @sugandhaseth account which has made 132 comments on POB talk in past 15 days .
I took the total comment made by that account from the POB front-end and it was 135 comments . So 99% of the comments are on POB talk itself which makes it the best account for us to analyze to see if they are being rewarded well .
@sugandhaseth vote distribution for engagement
100% upvote POB value for @amr008.pob - 65 POB .
227.14% = 147.6 POB
45% ( Author rewards) of 147.6 POB = 66 POB .
So in the past 15 days , from @amr008.pob account @sugandhaseth has received 66 POB just for engaging in POB talk .
That means every comment has got 0.5 POB as reward which let me tell you is amazing .
Is 0.5 POB per comment more or less ?
I am not even joking , it is amazing that 1 comment can get 0.5 POB as author rewards .
Are all comments made by @sugandaseth high quality ? I am not sure I haven't checked it . If it is not ,then those who are making high quality comments are definitely receiving more than 0.5 POB per comment .
Note: These calculations are only for upvotes made by @amr008.pob account , now there are numerous other upvotes that the account would have got which is a bonus ?
Concluding words and my suggestion
I have no doubts that engagement is being rewarded sufficiently . Any further push to increase their reward will definitely affect the community in the wrong way .
My Suggestion would be to focus on other stuff like the lottery - make a proposal to get funds from @pob-fund and make the lottery even more impressive .
Check out the no-loss lottery from LeoFinance for inspiration , change things in it and innovate and come up with your own cool lottery .
These are just my opinions , I feel like it is my duty to make sure I answer questions like " Engagement should further be encouraged with more upvotes" . I think we are rewarding it heavily now that I am considering increasing rewards from top 50 to top 75 in coming days .

I didn't know about the no-loss lottery from LeoFinance.
It would help people, I think, to view rewards from POB vs. other tokens and their equivalence to a formal currency like USD.
One concern I have is with regards to visibility. Some peoples posts, I believe, don't get a lot of views and it may lead to a loss of potential awards. I don't know it's a problem we can ever solve, but perhaps we can minimize the occurrences.
How about more simple contests to help give visibility and reward exceptional entries?
That's an idea I could follow. I can only deem what's exceptional in my own eyes no matter how objective my behaviors appear. Additional contests would help spread the community's interpretation of what its feels is also exceptional.
Also, I feel I'm missing out as well. I remember seeing a photography contest by uwelang that is in it's 27th run. I just happened upon it by chance. I thought it was amazing.
This is true. That can be fixed by directing our activity to those posts. Unlike, say, Hive Explained and Hive Beginners Tips, Proof of Brain is alive and well and active. PoB can provide visibility which some communities just can't offer. This is just another way we can increase activity and engagement at Proof of Brain. It worked for me after I discovered LeoFinance, and it can work for us here at Proof of Brain.

I only discovered POB TALK about a week ago, and knowing how important Leo Market Talk is to LeoFinance I wanted to promote POB TALK to help it pick up steam. POB TALK can be the social and activity hub for Proof of Brain, in which case it will be even greater in the future.
Just as important as building up POB TALK is to spread the activity throught Proof of Brain. There are plenty of posts native to PoB which deserve more love and attention than what they have received. The engagement needs to be all over Proof of Brain, especially in the infant and toddler phases of Proof of Brain's development.
I know I haven't been as active here as I could be, so I've been devoting more time here; that's how I discovered POB TALK.
Ther are communities here which are languishing on the vine and have minimal to zero activity:
If we can't revive those, then whatever we would have posted in them could instead be posted at Proof of Brain. Oddly enough, Proof of Brain would be perfect for Hive Beginners Tips and Hive Explained; make the post native to PoB and then tag Hive Beginners Tips or Hive Explained as needed. We can do this for any number of communities where we can't get exposure for whatever reason.
POB TALK is important for increasing engagement levels. Just as important is engaging with other people through their posts (and our own).
As for the no-loss lottery,

I thought I removed that part of the comment. When I was composing the comment, I had misread what you said about the no-loss lottery. After I realized what you had said I should have removed that sring of words from my comment.
Many congratulations @sugandhaseth. You are killing it with the engagement and hence getting the rewards in return. That's what we try to do with @leomarkettalk. This is how social media should be done. ;) Engagement is a vital part and it helps you to network with amazing people and share cool info with each other.
Delegating another 300 POB to @amr008.pob. This project is genius IMO and we need more of them on Hive and its various different tribes.
Also, a great job is done by @vempromundo. You are doing a charity to this network by increasing the activity on POB. Great for SEO! Both POB talk & AMR's engamgent project deserve the merit-based delegation from @proofofbrainio.
That would be a smart thing to do because it will encourage more people to participate in engagement and also at the same time distribute the rewards to a wider audience.
I think you might have to reconsider changing this number every now and then. It will depend on the scale of activity that is happening on the platform.

I agree in parts, I believe that this point should be analyzed and readjusted for a better reality in relation to the community when making several comments such as the case above. But I believe that the draw also puts those small users who can't engage much and end up being lucky enough to get a reward from time to time through the daily draw.
A great suggestion, I believe that if the community accepts the idea of using @pob-fund funds for this purpose it would be of great value. I'll read about LeoFinance's no-loss lottery and see how we can adapt to the reality of POB

I am running a test script now to see how the value spreads if I increase it to 75 . I should be able to release it within a week .

Quite interesting, but we may need something more palpable and some proper real life utility for the token, in order to grow even more. My opinion. Not market or Hive store or stuff like this. We need to think much further. Like some said, what is the 5 years plan and what we need to make it happen now. Kind of.
