Anxiety is a tricky thing…so many of us experience it in one way or another & there are many layers to this condition….

Today, as we enfold the Empowerment Through Anxiety mini series, the physical aspects are explored & discussed. Since anxiety can show itself in different forms, we all experience these symptons in various ways.

Here, I share my experience as well as offer some tips that will help lessen the physical damage on your body. Some are common sense when you think about it, but not always practiced…

Side note: I actually experienced some of the symptoms I talked about in the beginning when I was editing this very video. My video editor decided it wanted to stop working & I lost half of my footage. Fortunately, I found the files in my computer hard drive, but had to start the whole editing process all over again! Then, with my being hit with intestinal issues, it was a fun time! Now, ironically, I am feeling better. Anxiety sure is the Joker sometimes!

This Empowerment Through The Anxiety mini series...it will explore the different aspects of this condition & give you ways to become more proactive with it than being reactive…

FYI: I am not a licensed psychologist or any type of medical professional. This series is just from my perspective & my way of helping others through this state. My hopes for you that it helps empower you, even if it’s just a little ;)

When you start to talk about the steps, I was going on my checklist and doing... checked, checked! :)

Drinking more water... if I don't do that, I had my famous headaches... sometimes because of that, sometimes don't... But it is a reason often...

Food... Just said yesterday to my wife that we should change our breakfast and dinner "options" and put some new things on the table...

Sleep... well, I don't need to elaborate on this... lol... I'm not that lucky that I can sleep a long time, so 4-5 hour sleep per night and one nap do the thing... If something fails, the consequences are coming...

Thanks for creating the video... It will help people that have anxiety that they are not alone, and some small "tweaks" can help...

He he That is great you have that checklist. It does help to revisit these things periodically. As I said in the video, I struggle with some of these but making the small changes & being mindful about it goes a long way...

I am glad you enjoyed the video. I do hope it helps someone. It is such an important topics & effects so many things in our lives.

This is only the first layer of this common condition so definitely stayed tuned for next week's video. It will show how the physical & mental aspects are more connected than we realize ;)

Thanks for your support, Zoltan. It means more than you know. :) 💜

Thanks Jenn. Great tips :) It's funny how you bring topics to me that I need to hear. I wrote on anxiety yesterday because it's so relevant in my life right now. I seem to be going through some things LOL so I really look forward to your series and discovering new ways to cope. Thanks for this :)

You're so welcome, Janelle. It is actually helping me as well. Like you, I have been coping with anxiety and sometimes, even though it can be tough, we just have to say "enough is enough". :) So I hope this series will help!

I will check out your post on my curation path today! :) I really enjoy your blogs/vlogs. 💚

Lots of great information on the symptoms and ways of dealing with anxiety. This is a topic that is a real killer for people. The effects it has on your mind and body can greatly shorten your life if you cannot find ways to deal with it. You spell it out very well and give great advice on how to deal with it.

Thanks, Mike! It truly is a real condition and even more so this year. So many people feel ashamed of having it so I felt it was important to bring this to light. Instead of being a slave to it, we can find ways to take our power back & work through it.

It's okay to have these emotions but having the tools & knowledge to deal with them only makes us stronger. :) Stay tuned for next week's video! ;)

Thanks for watching & your support! 💚

Anxiety is real. I don't think I have an anxiety problem but lately I have been a little anxious at times and I've been extremely tired no matter how much sleep I get. Some say that I'm just grieving right now but I don't think that's it either. I wish I had a crystal ball so I could see what's going on with me. I usually know myself and can tell what's wrong with me but lately I can't.

Great post and video as you usually do.

Yes it is and that's the thing - there are so many variations of anxiety so it can be due to a lot of factors. Some have it as a daily struggle & some only have it occasionally like you. It could be due to a lot of things but sometimes we have to go within and reconnect with ourselves, even if it's 10 min a day, to understand what it is going on. Also being aware of "triggers" really helps. I will be addressing more of this in next week's video.

Sending lots of love & healing energy your way, my friend. Thank you for your support & love. 💜

One thing that stood out to me in this video is the clutter. It may sound really silly (or that maybe im about 36 years too late at figuring this out)...but ever since I started making my bed in the morning, it's helped me so much! I feel like I immediately start my day out with something productive and it feels so nice to crawl into a freshly made bed. These little things work. And for someone who has really struggled with clinical depression and anxiety, I never in a million years thought it would. Great series, Jenn. I look forward to seeing the rest.
