There are a lot of very useful things in what you are saying. I think that in modern times a boss has to be a part of the team. Traditional hierarchies simply don't work anymore. I realised that people are much more motivated if they feel that they have the same value than their boss in the team.

That is very true. I have noticed the "hierarchy" set up doesn't resonate as much as it once did. It did serve a purpose in the past but as I mentioned in the video, change is always constant. So, with it, our techniques & styles need to change also...

I truly believe, more & more, that it's important to work as a team while still doing your leadership duties. Most people work better that way & feel more valued, less afraid to add input as well. I know I am one of those people! :)

Thank you so much for your valuable comment & I am glad we work together so well :) 💚

This is an awesome video with great messages inside! Thanks for letting this out and sharing with others...

Firstly, usually, if you are a business owner, and you have someone "under" you, it makes you a leader... Also, if you have created a community, that automatically makes you a leader... I had that experience a long time ago with 2 communities where I was a creator, and a "leader"...

As you said, it's a great thing to be the same among all the others, and I have done that with my first community, but that also can "backfire" at you... You are the owner/creator, and you have responsibility for the whole community, while another member has only for themselves... That's probably the biggest difference between a leader and a follower...

On the other side, if you take a look at some current leaders, you will not see that... Most of them put blame on others, avoiding responsibility for anything, which is "double-wrong"... I don't say that ALL are doing that, but it's a common situation that we can see, and experience in our own skin...

And one thing about appreciation and solving the issues... If you want to praise somebody, do that in public, that everyone can see that you appreciate people and that you aren't "higher" (or egoistic pig... lol...) that others...

If you have to solve some issues or misunderstandings, doing those things in public will not bring any good... You don't do that in private to "hide" something, but just to avoid more misunderstandings or possible "shaming" of another person (or yours)...

And for the end... I remember when I was a kid, in my neighborhood was a glass repair shop, and it had a saying written on one of their products and it was something like this:

"If you are satisfied with our service, tell everyone... If you don't, tell only to us..."

I was always thinking about how that is wrong as it sounds "selfish", and like hiding the truth... But in the end, if there are some problems, only those who are involved CAN fix it by COMMUNICATING with each other...

I could write a lot more about this, but I will kill the comment section... lol...

Thanks for the awesome post!

First of all, thank you very much for your amazing comment & kind words. It is much appreciated...

You are the owner/creator, and you have responsibility for the whole community, while another member has only for themselves... That's probably the biggest difference between a leader and a follower...

I like how you explained this...I agree. When you are a follower, you are pretty much responsible for yourself & may not always see the "team vision" as well. It is an interesting dynamic because when you are a GOOD leader, you are invested in your vision but also in that of the team as well. You have to balance it out more than you would if you just had yourself to worry about...

I really like the glass owner story you shared, too. That should be a sign every business has, even in the community descriptions. Some people don't seem to grasp the power in this. It not only shows the character of the leader when this is followed, but it also can make or break the morale of the team/community. It is so important to protect that & cultivate it so people are feeling valued & will work & engage with each other that much more...

Thank you for your valuable input. Like you, I could discuss this all day as well, but I will try to restrain myself hahaha. Thanks for being awesome & for being supportive. ;) 💚

Well, I think many people want to act like a bitch and show the power of being a leader which is awful. A leader is someone who will guide his/her team instead of being rude and bitch...

You have spoken many important points in your video which is very helpful for many people to learn about leadership...

Thank you so much, Pri! :) I am glad it resonated for you.

Yes, there are definitely ways to be an effective leader & really work with your team. I have worked with many great leaders & am a leader of myself as well. But unfortunately, I have had a few in the past that were just not that great. They believed micromanaging & acting "above" everyone else were good techniques. They aren't. All it does is alienate your team & the vision falls apart because of it.

So, cheers to the good leaders out there. If we can all show that type of example, there will be less bad ones & it will be much better for everyone lol. 💚

Great video.

I have learned to praise publicly and correct/criticize privately.
Others will notice and appreciate the discipline and consideration of people.
Public admonishment (especially on social media) will eventually & always end bad.
Nobody likes it, so do not do it.

PS. Awesome shirt.

Thank you so much for your kind comment. :)

Oh yes, that rule is so important I feel. Most people will be humbled enough by making the actual criticism so there is no need to humiliate them. That solves nothing & makes people feel worse.

You are right - mainstream social media is very toxic with this kind of behavior. This is one of the reasons why I reduced my use of it. It always seemed like a hostile environment where people were constantly tearing each other down. That is not a healthy thing. Uplifting one another should be in the communication, even if you are "critiquing" them. ;)

P/S Thank you. I haven't worn it in a while so now that is autumn, it's a perfect time to wear it :) 💜

My feminist side wants to reply with, "Just talk like a man then you won't be considered a bitch, but a voice of authority!" :D #truth
