Its All About the Perspective

A bit more than a week ago, I have published a vlog about the quality of living before and now and got a great number of awesome comments to it... Most of them were about the perspective... as we can't compare the quality of living, as it is different in different parts of the world, and not just in different moments in the past...

Around the same time, I had an interesting conversation with my "offline" friend about an idea of buying a home somewhere in Africa... I think it was Nicaragua, but not sure 100%... Anyways, she raised some concerns about the "safety" in that country, and that made me think about how we very often have a wrong look at some other countries... It's interesting that right "our" country is the best in the world, the safest, the best quality of living, etc...

And not just that, very often judging others by our opinion formed by watching TV news, which is probably the worst possible source of information that anyone can find... lol... Combine that with misinterpretation, which is already the part of news sometimes, and you have a look at the "rest of the world" like savage people with stick hunting lions...

As I'm trying to be open to all the possible ideas and dialogues, I got an idea to use the same "weapon" on my friend, just so see the reaction...

Thank you for your valuable time,

~ph~

It is absolutely is all about perspective. Another aspect is attitude. If you start out believing you won't like something, more than likely you won't. If you start thinking you will like something, you probably will. Your perspective and your attitude influence your thinking greatly.

Agree with you about that... The biggest problem is usually information that we get (and let) inside us... We then form an opinion, perspective, and attitude...
And most people have no doubts about "facts" that they see somewhere on TV, the Internet... And they "import" fake information...

Regarding that, the best example is the poisonous atmosphere created around Bitcoin a couple of years ago... "It's filthy money, used by terrorists and narco mafia..." Which was just a pure lie... but 99% of people believed in that...

And look where we are today... Yes, it is still used by mafia... of a different kind, bankers, financial institutions, etc... :) But, hey... It looks that BTC isn't important anymore for terrorists...

There are dozens of "fake realities" created by media... As I said in the video, countries, money, etc...

Our perspective will always determine the directions and decision that we take.
as you know I have spoken about how our perspective can be determined by those that call themselves information providers.
what we absorb from others will determine our own interpretations, It may be opposite to what we hear, read etc, or it may be in unison with what we are preseneted with. If information is given with confidence and repetition then it can also sway change, not always for the good.
It is our role as 'individuals' to retain and maintain our own ethical standards and actions, regardless of the information we recieve

The only perspective that has any real value is one that mainainds the concept of treating others as you would have them treat you and to always, always strive to leave things better than you found them and to improve condition at all times.

Thanks for the Video Zotan, as always very much appreciated

Yeah, it always finishes as simple physics...
What comes in, has to come out... :) What we intake, our product will be similar...

always strive to leave things better than you found them and to improve condition at all times

I like this one... My father was always repairing things, and very often made them better than the original was... Which is weird for this new-age time when we just drop in the garbage things right away when they got broken...

The same thing goes for any work, interaction, relationship... leave it in better shape than it was when you came...

Darn, I will have to do a vlog about that... I like it so much...

Thanks for the inspiration!

Hi Zoltan
very well said about the perspective. This is true that many people blame crypto to be one of the highest volatile but yes fiat and stocks are not less volatile and it depends upon our perspective. If we believe in the crypto and there are many possibilities in long run. Thanks for sharing this nice video. Have a great weekend.

Oh, yes... I remember that you were talking about the same topic in one of your videos... about the volatility of fiat and crypto... that was a good vlog!

What's good today, doesn't mean that it will be good tomorrow... So, be open-minded about everything!

Great weekend to you too!

It truly is about perspective! And we can literally change it any time, too.

When I start getting into a negative mindset, especially when exposed to things going on in the world beyond my control, I remind myself to be grateful. Gratitude is a huge game changer when it comes to realigning yourself with what's truly important.

This is also another reason why I decided to minimize mainstream media intake as well as feeding into the fear mentality that is so prevalent these days. It really is a choice we make when it comes down to it. I choose to be open minded as much as I can.

Thanks so much for the inspiration, Zoltan. You are the best! :)

Oh, and Crypto is here to stay!! Just my two cents lol.

I like this a lot!

Gratitude is a huge game changer when it comes to realigning yourself with what's truly important.

It is a game-changer... It's hard to be aware of things when we are deep in the gut, but when we see that and switch to gratitude mode, it changes the perspective completely...

Thanks for an awesome comment... and it's actually a good idea for some future vlog... ;)

That's a very interesting topic. I remember I was once in Istanbul with my wife (her parents live there) and we had a nice time and everything. In the evening I got a phone call from my mom and she was very worried. She read in the newspapers that there were demonstrations and clashes in Istanbul. The truth is, I was there and didn't see or hear anything but my mom in Switzerland saw it.

What I want to say is that all the news that we get from abroad are often tainted through the sensational lenses of todays medias. We hear only about the negative stuff and in our subconscious perception of the world, everything seems to be dangerous...

That was the case with my friend from the vlog... She heard some bad news about that country (and all the other) and formed her opinion and wrong perspective about it... As Russell said in another comment, someone else formed her perspective instead of her...

By doing that she (and all of us) closed a lot of "options", ideas, to different things... We are limited our own freedom by these "fake perspectives"...

Perspective matters. That's why people choose to do different things. We get used to using fiat money. General people have little idea or no idea how the financial system and all this work.

The monetary policy of a country directly affects the whole system of fiat money. What you bought with fiat money 5 years ago, now you have to pay more to buy the same thing. So you are losing. But again we do not pay much attention to that. We just keep beliving it.

We just keep beliving it.

Huh... you are right about that... I watched the movie The Big Short for 3-4th time, and it's incredible what kind of stuff banks and governments have done in the past... And knowing all that, it's even more incredible how people still BELIEVE in them... Crazy...
