My biggest dream in Life

What is a dream?
According to the Merriam Webster Dictionary, dream is a series of thoughts, visions, or feelings that happen during sleep. It is an idea or vision that is created in your imagination that is not real
It is something that you have wanted very much to do, be, or have for a long time.

It is one thing to dream big and another thing to accomplish it. I know we all have dreams, everyone do have a dream and we all wish and want them to come to fulfillment. Personally I have a dream, a very big one, day by day I pray to God to help me make sure that dream comes to reality.

Here comes the question, WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST DREAM IN LIFE?

My biggest dream in life is to build a great citadel of learning where children will be given good quality education so as to make them great leaders of tomorrow.

I've always dreamt of being a teacher and building a good citadel of learning since childhood. And why is that?

Reason is because I want to teach and educate the young generations more than the way I was educated. Right from my kindergarten till now, few persons who call themselves teachers are being to take out time and teach. They relax at home doing nothing and enjoy without passing knowledge to us the way they ought to.

Few months ago I embarked on Teaching Practice exercise organized by my school for student teachers. I was posted to one of the most prominent schools here in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. I was given the whole of JSS1 to teach English Language, I read English Language combined with Social studies, I'll be done in few months, I'm writing my final exams next month.

This is the recommendation letter I was given from the school by the principal.

The school I was posted to was a government school, a boarding school too. So everyone there and from other nearby villages came to school there. JSS1 class was from A-K as well as JSS2 and others. I had to teach the whole of A-K students which the students in each arm were 50 students each, you can imagine that.

There were teachers, enough teachers. They refused to teach those children not just because I was there to assist but because it is what has been going on since my days as a child. When I recall them, it breaks my heart to see little children go to school but not receive good and quality education they deserve.

I was a victim then, so many things I know now we're not taught while I was in school. I had to sit down and learn them myself and ask questions where necessary. I can't let the next generation suffer anymore and that is why I'm trying as much as possible in educating myself so I can stand out tomorrow to educate others.

When I become I certified teacher with license, I'll build a good citadel of learning in Akwa Ibom State. That is my biggest dream in life, I pray God help and assist me...Amen.
