Mature personality: temperament and character - Page 72, Beatriz Quintanilla Madero - 2003:
Personality, is the total expression of an individual, or in other words, it is the total conformation of man, unitary, forming a common structure with the peculiarities that distinguish one individual from another. A "personality" is defined as the totality of an individual's emerging tendencies to act or behave, or the organization of an individual's distinctive character traits, attitudes or habits.
We always wonder as if it were an enigma, but in reality the compression of people are reflected in the collective-individual, subjectivity-objectivity and the interior with the exterior, but our reality is that there is no society apart from individuals, but without individual there could not be society, since each culture builds a society, from the individual with the relationship that is maintained between them. Something important within this context mentioning the learning theory, since this acts interactively between individuals, experienced or inexperienced, only a medium or an environment is created in the formation of areas and patterns of behavior, as each person learns according to their needs.
The society and the role, is closely linked to the behavior prescribed by society, in various group of individuals, or social standards, what is trying to achieve is the expectation, which has each person, to incorporate their attitudes and motivations to make it more efficient in their social environment, for if this adapts the culture in which it is demanded in society, which there are diversity of culture that interact, because we all have an important role in society.
