One year ago, on 20 March 2020, Hive, the blockchain I love, was born.
Today 20 March is not only Hive's birthday but it is also the celebration of all of us Hivers.

A Facebook & Co. user is a simple user who uses a service to publish and interact with other people and pays for this service by authorising the use and monetisation of their data, interests and content.

When, for example, Facebook celebrates its birthday, it has only one celebrant and a small number of guests: the company Facebook and its members/shareholders!

A Hive user becomes a part of Hive from the moment he owns a fraction of HIVE and not just a user.

Each Hive user has a greater or lesser weight depending on the amount of HIVE he or she has decided to stake, which is called HP (Hive Power).
Every Hive user can use his HP to:

• reward authors and content they read and appreciate
• vote for witnesses, and with his vote he can take part in deciding the future development of Hive.
• can also give a negative vote (downvote) when a content is e.g. offensive, racist or fraudulent (Phishing and Scam).

Hive's birthday is a party where there are no guests, but where there are many celebrants: Hive and all Hive users!

In this post, I wanted to summarise the stages that led to the birth of Hive.
There are users, including users that I have brought here on Hive, who signed up after 20 March 2020 and who do not know the history of Hive.

Why was Hive born?

Hive is a fork of another blockchain that is still there today called Steem.
In the first days of March 2020, the Steem blockchain suffered a real attack on its decentralisation.
In fact, J.Sun, after having purchased a huge amount of STEEM, implemented its attempt to centralise a decentralised structure.

On 2 March 2020, 20 new witnesses 'magically' appeared and were placed in the top 20 positions in the witnesses' ranking.

Specially created accounts with no history behind them, unknown little grey men.

Users who had put a lot of time and effort into developing and growing Steem found themselves knocked out of the top 20 positions in no time at all.

At the time, the first witness was @yabapmatt (one of the creators of Splinterlands, Hive Keychain and Hive Engine).
Within a day he found himself 21st in the witness rankings.

Most of the Steem community moved in united, and the next day a good portion of the real witnesses were back on the top of the leaderboard.

In the days following 5 March @blocktrades and other great Hive users worked hard to create and bring to life Hive, which was born on 20 March 2020 and was initially simply a version of Steem without the power (Steem Power) of the Steemit account.
Within a short period of time, all the larger Steem communities chose to continue their journey exclusively on Hive and I naturally and immediately made the same choice.

Hive: One year later

In one year Hive has changed a lot, the development has been continuous.
Today Hive is a much more secure blockchain than Steem which remains de facto centralised even though its IT structure is decentralised.
Hive, on the other hand, is completely decentralised.

If we look at Hive from a financial point of view and therefore consider the value of its cryptocurrency (HIVE) the value has increased compared to a year ago.

In one year the minimum value of 1 HIVE was $0.087 (April 6, 2020) while its maximum value (ATH) was $0.97 (April 27, 2020).
Today Hive according to information from https://www.coingecko.com/it/monete/hive is ranked number 248 in the cryptocurrency ranking by market capitalisation.

Many projects and many communities

In one year, many projects have been created and the number of Hive communities has also increased considerably.
In its first year, Hive has proven to be the perfect cradle for the birth and development of quality projects and communities.
The most obvious demonstration of Hive's great value is the @leofinance community which has achieved outstanding results through the creation of interesting and valuable projects.

Today 1 HIVE is worth $0.425 and 1 LEO (Hive's second-layer token) is worth $1.125.

Hive and Leofinance are closely linked to each other and every step forward made by Hive or Leofinance brings and will always bring benefits to the whole Hive ecosystem.
But Leofinance is just one of the many beautiful communities on Hive.
So many new communities have been created in a year and many of these communities have a token related to them.

Anyone on Hive can create a new community and can create a second layer token, but most importantly anyone on Hive owns their own data and can express their opinions and ideas in complete freedom and without fear of being banned or censored.

Hive is only 1 year old but already has a lot to offer its users and its great usefulness is evident.

With each passing day I am happier and more content to have registered on Hive.
Instead of wasting my time using a centralised blogging platform like Facebook, I chose freedom, I chose full ownership of my data, I chose decentralisation, I chose Hive!

Un anno fa, il 20 marzo 2020, nasceva Hive che è la blockchain che amo.
Oggi 20 marzo non è solo il compleanno di Hive ma è anche la festa di tutti noi Hivers.

Un utente di Facebook & Co. è un semplice utente che usa un servizio per pubblicare e interagire con altre persone e paga questo servizio autorizzando l'utilizzo e la monetizzazione dei propri dati, dei propri interessi e dei propri contenuti.

Quando, ad esempio, Facebook festeggia il suo compleanno ha un unico festeggiato e un ristretto numero di invitati: l'azienda Facebook e i suoi soci/azionisti!

Un utente di Hive nel momento in cui possiede una frazione di HIVE diventa egli stesso una parte di Hive e non un semplice utente.

Ogni utente di Hive infatti ha un peso maggiore o minore che dipende dalla quantità di HIVE che ha deciso di mettere in stake e che si chiama HP (Hive Power).
Ogni utente di Hive può utilizzare il suo HP per:

• ricompensare gli autori e i contenuti che legge e apprezza
• può votare i testimoni e con il suo voto può prendere parte alle scelte sullo sviluppo futuro di Hive.
• può anche dare un voto negativo (downvote) quando un contenuto ad esempio è offensivo, razzista o fraudolento (Phishing e Scam).

Il compleanno di Hive è una festa in cui non ci sono invitati ma in cui ci sono tanti festeggiati: Hive e tutti gli utenti di Hive!

In questo post volevo ripercorrere in sintesi le fasi che hanno portato alla nascita di Hive.
Ci sono utenti, tra cui anche utenti che ho portato io qui su Hive, che si sono iscritti dopo il 20 marzo 2020 e che non conoscono la storia di Hive.

Perchè è nata Hive?

Hive è il frutto del fork di un'altra blockchain che c'è ancora oggi e che si chiama Steem.
I primi giorni di marzo 2020 la blockchain di Steem ha subito un vero e proprio attacco alla sua decentralizzazione.
Infatti J.Sun, dopo aver acquistato una grandissima quantità di STEEM, ha messo in atto il suo tentativo di centralizzare una struttura decentralizzata.

Il 2 marzo 2020 sono comparsi "magicamente" 20 nuovi testimoni (witnesses) che si sono posizionati nelle prime 20 posizioni della classifica dei witnesses.

Account creati appositamente, senza una storia alle spalle, degli sconosciuti omini grigi.

Utenti che avevano dedicato tempo e impegno per sviluppare e far crescere Steem si sono trovati in pochissimo tempo scalzati di 20 posizioni, le posizioni che contavano.

A quel tempo il primo testimone era @yabapmatt (uno dei creatori di Splinterlands, Hive Keychain e Hive Engine).
In un giorno si è ritrovato ventunesimo nella classifica dei testimoni.

La maggior parte della comunità di Steem si è mossa compatta e il giorno dopo una buona parte dei veri testimoni ha rioccupato le prime posizioni della classifica.

Mi piacciono le storie fantasy e i giochi e ho riscritto in chiave fantasy la battaglia Centralizzazione Vs Decentralizzazione avvenuta nei primi giorni di marzo 2020.

Nei giorni successi al 5 marzo @blocktrades e altri grandi utenti di Hive hanno lavorato intensamente per creare e far nascere Hive che è nata il 20 marzo 2020 e che inizialmente era semplicemente una versione di Steem senza il potere (Steem Power) dell'account Steemit.
In tempi brevi tutte le più grandi comunità di Steem hanno scelto di proseguire il proprio cammino esclusivamente su Hive e anche io ho fatto naturalmente e immediatamente la stessa scelta.

Hive: Un anno dopo

In un anno Hive è cambiata molto, lo sviluppo è stato continuo.
Oggi Hive è una blockchain molto più sicura di Steem che rimane di fatto centralizzata anche se la sua struttura informatica è decentralizzata.
Hive invece è completamente decentralizzata.

Se guardiamo Hive dal punto di vista finanziario e quindi consideriamo il valore della sua criptomoneta (HIVE) il valore è cresciuto rispetto ad un anno fa.

In un anno il valore minimo di 1 HIVE è stato di 0,087 $ (6 aprile 2020) mentre il suo valore massimo (ATH) è stato di 0,97$ (27 Aprile 2020).
Oggi Hive secondo le informazioni del sito https://www.coingecko.com/it/monete/hive è al posto numero 248 della classifica delle criptomonete per capitalizzazione di mercato.

Tanti progetti e tante comunità

In un anno sono stati creati tanti progetti ed è aumentato considerevolmente anche il numero delle comunità di Hive.
In questo suo primo anno Hive ha dimostrato di essere la culla perfetta per la nascita e lo sviluppo di progetti di qualità.
La dimostrazione più evidente del grande valore di Hive l'ha data la comunità di @leofinance che con la creazione di progetti interessanti e molto validi ha raggiunto risultati davvero eccezionali.

Oggi 20 marzo 2021 1 HIVE vale 0,425 $ e 1 LEO (Token di secondo livello di Hive) vale 1,125.

Hive e Leofinance sono strettamente collegate tra di loro e ogni passo in avanti fatto da Hive o Leofinance porta e porterà sempre benefici a tutto l'ecosistema di Hive.
Ma Leofinance è solo una delle tante belle comunità che ci sono su Hive.
Dal 20 marzo 2020 sono nate tante nuove comunità e molte di queste comunità hanno un token collegato.

Chiunque su Hive può creare una nuova comunità e può creare un token di secondo livello ma soprattutto chiunque su Hive è proprietario dei propri dati e può esprimere la propria opinione e le proprie idee in completa libertà e senza paura di essere bannato o censurato.

Hive ha solo 1 anno di vita ma ha già tanto da offrire ai suoi utenti e la sua grande utilità è evidente.

Ogni giorno che passa sono sempre più felice e contento di essermi registrato su Hive.
Invece di perdere il mio tempo ad utilizzare una piattaforma di blogging centralizzata come Facebook ho scelto la libertà, ho scelto il pieno possesso dei miei dati, ho scelto la decentralizzazione, ho scelto Hive!
