Splinterlands - April 2021 My Account Update (Weekly Post)

April was a busy month for me in Splinterlands. I participated in several brawls but also been trying to add to my Alpha collection. The latter has been difficult to come by since card prices have went parabolic. The supply of alpha cards that on on the market are also dwindling.

Filling in the Gaps in April

Last time I was looking at finishing up my Alpha collection I was missing (3) cards, and in April I went on to purchase my most expensive 1bcx card yet in a Angel of Light.

There are now only two Alpha cards I have yet to own in my collection but at this point purchasing them is really just for appearance rather than benefiting much in playing the game. For instance Angel of Light I have a level 3 beta version of it and I intend to use the beta version due to its higher level more often than the Alpha. It will likely go the same way for my remainder missing Alpha in Spirit of the Forest and Selenia Sky.

Hunting for DEC

As cards are getting expensive all I have done is play matches and earn more DEC. In past posts I talk about averaging close to 700 DEC earned a day in combination of daily rewards and DEC match earnings. I have found it a sweet spot considering a majority of my card collection is in the low to middle range of silver league.

Still have manage to get to diamond league again for the season and am trying to shoot for Diamond II to earn at least 50 reward chests. I have still yet to have a season where I could get to Champion League but am still trying.

The game has grown over the weeks and card prices have gone parabolic. This is better than ever to people who already own cards or are starting out to play.

To prove it the overall market cap to date is over $14 million. My collection has stayed steady around $4800 and slowly climbing.

OMG! Do you have a complete Alpha collection? So nice! I sold my Alpha cards over the years, to be able to upgrade my Beta cards. Not sure now how smart this move was...

Almost but its not even close to a max level, mostly level 3 and under. Definitely not as valuable as max alphas. I started collecting the alphas over a year ago but have not purchased many this year. I think quite literally only 5 alpha cards added this year for me.

I am on the opposite spectrum of what you feel, I wish I had traded for beta since I would get more cards and have a much more competitive deck. Price of cards just went parabolic esp. Alphas making it difficult to buy as I did not use any outside money.

The marketcap sure did rise in a hurry.
