The Legendary Dice Big Boys

(Edited)

It's been a while I talked about my Splinterlands activities. I've had a lot on my plate recently and so I haven't even been playing the game as much. Today I felt like running a rule over the legendary monsters in the Dice collection. This list will only account for the currently released and high mana costing legendaries monsters. Okay, cool? Let's begin.

Caladuum:$9.48

Starting of the list, we have the fire monster Caladuum. This pile of molten magma costs 11 mana, and it is very badass. At level 4, it has void, cripple, immunity and thorns. It comes in handy for reverse speed battles and also those battles where ranged monsters can't be used.

I was fortunate to get me one of these and over the months, the price has really gone up. When I got it into my deck, it was only valued around $3 but now, you can buy bulk for $5 or units at $9.48. There are currently only 346 in circulation and 6 in the market.

Poseidon: $3.91

The second on the list is none other than the Greek God of the sea. This badass looking legendary monster with ranged ability is the runt of the big boys.

At level 4, it has shield, blast and immunity, so it can't be poisoned or affected by any negative aftereffect of a hit. I got this one during the dice rush and when the cost of DEC was a bit lower. Since then, the monster's value has risen a fair bit, but it is still not one of my favourites.

Oaken Behemoth: $7.25

The third on the list is this woodland creature that you generally don't want to run into while taking a hike. You can get one at a unit price of $7.25

The maxed-out version of this monster is really something out of a fairytale. The monster offers a perfect balance in attack and defence. With that void amour, you're sure that you won't be getting knocked out of the battle and with a cumulative -6 damage done per hit, you're going to be leaving dead bodies in your wake.

The best part about this monster is that it can give you an edge when melee mayhem is active.

Kralus: $3.95

Once again, life splinter offers a cringeworthy monster. This time, it is a flying tiger that delivers babies to Khymerians because they don't have sex over there.

I got me one of these as well during the dice rush and I've used it in battle a couple of times. Much like the Behemoth, this one also comes in handy during melee mayhem. It is also a pretty good tank and is quite nimble when you want it to be.

Cthulhu $5.17

I know you probably thought it was a dragon, but it is actually a flying maggot. Not going to lie, I wondered why there was a dragon lurking around death splinter like the one that the white walker king used in Game of thrones.

A maxed-out version of the dragon kind of reminds me of the diamond dragon of the untamed side of town. However, this flying creature is extremely slow and has cripple ability.

In Summary

Out of the lot, if I had to pick one as my favourite, I think the Oaken Behemoth takes it. It offers more in terms of attack and defensive capability.

My least favourite of the lot is Poseidon because it is really boring. It is also the only one that doesn't use magic and that makes it sort of lame.

What about you, do you have any favourites of the lot?

The Oaken Behemoth is also my favorite from the bunch. Crazy how much Caladuum went up.

Lots of dice monster prices went up but Caladuum was the most dramatic for me. No surprises though, considering it is one hell of a beast when it is maxed out.

Oaken stands out for me. Everything about it screams badassness

Which is why I maxed mine as soon as I saw cheap cards on the market!

Very good business I must say and a very sturdy monster in battle.
