I'm also thankful for...(#MoT-Day #5)

When I started the Month of Thanksgiving Challenge, I wondered if at any point if it might be hard to think of things to write about. I must admit that it has not been difficult at all. It is really very easy to think about things you are thankful for if you just focus for a few seconds.

When it comes to family, I would not be who I am today without the influence of my parents. I am thankful for them and for the way they raised me. They taught me the difference between right and wrong. They taught me to think for myself. They taught mt the value of hard work. The taught me the importance of family. As I was growing up, we went to church on Sunday and played sports just about every other day (and the were at all our games...sometimes as the coach). I appreciate the way they made sure we always knew we were loved and cared for. Thank you Mom and Dad.

My parent's influence has now gone past just my siblings and me. My wife has a very good relationship with my mother who taught her to tat. They also have played a part in bringing up my daughter. And though they are forty miles away in the next county, we even leave our dogs with them when we have out-of-town trips. I really appreciate my parents for my time growing up and for the fact that they have continued to contribute to my family throughout the years.
