During a battle a Samurai General, made the firm decision to attack, even knowing that his army was much smaller in number. He was super confident that they would win. Before the confrontation they stopped in a chapel, after praying with his men, the General took out a coin and said:

Now I will toss the coin, if it lands heads, we will win, but if on the contrary it lands tails, we will lose, our destiny, will be revealed to us now."

He tossed the coin in the air and everyone, absolutely everyone wanted to see him land. IT WAS EXPENSIVE! The warriors were so happy, united by that quota of great confidence they went out to fight vigorously and achieved a great victory.
After the great battle, an elated Lieutenant told the General.

"NOTHING AND NOBODY CAN CHANGE THE DESTINY."

"IT'S TRUE", answered the general as he showed the coin to the Lieutenant he had:
"FACE ON BOTH SIDES"

THE WISE MAN.

In times of colonization, the change from being nomadic to becoming sedentary, sowing, raising livestock and reproducing it.

A group of people settled on the banks of a river, to work the land. This is how this community was created, which with time and progress gave way to an incredible town. Not all settlements survived, the Indians and wild animals took it upon themselves to disappear them or make them give up, and then they left, but this is not the case. Hand in hand with God and with a beautiful church as a witness, they managed to flourish and bear fruit, multiply, but most importantly, they took deep roots.

One Sunday, after mass, a group of families, elderly people, decided to comment to the parish priest about their decision to leave the town and put kilometers away, since they did not have peace due to noise, alcohol and crime, they would seek a place to end their lives in peace.

And it was so on any given day, grandparents, grandchildren, sons and daughters-in-law of some 15 families and the parish priest, set out with their loaded wagons in search of that place, without fear since the elders knew what it was to be a nomad.

That couple who were the first to mention their desire to leave, who lit the flame or laid the foundation stone in the thoughts and feelings of that group, were chosen to lead the caravan.

After months of walking, the wife of this couple passed away. The parish priest offered an answer for her and they buried her. The poor old man was destroyed, disoriented. That is why the parish priest decided to accompany him, and together, they led the caravan, chatting in genuine communion.

The time to walk was lagging behind. They saw a site that they fully agreed, it was perfect to settle. The parish priest blessed the place and proposed that they dismantle the wagons, and that with those woods, they build a common area for everyone. That commonplace, over time, became the church, and each of the families managed to have their own home around it. Everyone collaborated with everyone, but the most willing, who were always, yes or yes, were the parish priest and the old widower.

SOURCE

The only thing missing was to build the Old Man's house. Who up to here had slept where the night caught him, the church or the house of one of his friends, since he participated in the construction of it. He had a long talk with the parish priest about the place where he wanted to live and he had already figured it out, regardless of whether or not they could help him.

There was a hill a kilometer from the church and that was his place, the highest, the closest to heaven where his beloved companion was. They went up and helped him build the humble but comfortable cabin . It is there, just at that moment, that the legend is born.

Over time they called him, "THE WISE MAN." It may be because he looked for a weed for each of his ailments, or because he chatted with his wife and God long hours a day and apparently had found answers to many issues, added to the inner peace that emanated from his entire being and his kind way of saying. The truth is, it was weird that he was alone. Many went up to consult him on matters to which they could not find an answer, of course, they came down happy with his mentally resolved problem. In the form of gratitude they always brought him something that they thought he might need.

SOURCE

They say that some children, about 13 years old, born shortly after this man went to live on the hill, tired of his parents bringing him desirable things for them, decided to go see how wise the old man was.

They put in a backpack, a beautiful bird, which they themselves had married. As soon as they were in front of the old man until now unknown to them, they would take him in their hands and they would ask him if he considered that the little bird was alive or dead. His answer was not interesting, since if he answered that he was alive they would close their hands to suffocate him and in seconds suffocate him, if on the contrary, he told them that he was dead, they would remove one of his hands, they would caress him to get him out of its bulging, until the bird flew away. Thus the wise man would have been mocked by some little ones, and there would no longer be any reason to believe him.

When they were finally in front of the old man and made their inquiry, the man answered them, without haste, serene: How do you want the fate of that bird to answer you, "IF YOUR DESTINY IS IN YOUR HANDS"? When the children heard this, they ran away, of course the bird flew to the nearest tree. The old man simply continued with his work of planting seeds while he was lulled by a beautiful bird song, perhaps, in the form of thanks.

Moral: Many times we ask ourselves throughout life, how can I get more. The answer I got, perhaps, will serve you:

IT'S ALL ABOUT WITH WHAT ATTITUDE IN FRONT OF YOUR EMOTIONS AND THE CIRCUMSTANCES THAT EACH DAY CONTAINS IN ITSELF, BECAUSE ACCORDING TO WHAT WE LEARNED WE ARE POSSESSORS OF FREE WILL, OR FORGERS OF OUR DESTINY.

JUST REMEMBER: BE HAPPY.

You can have defects, live anxious and be irritated sometimes, (like the children in the story) but do not forget that your life is your greatest company in this world, only you can prevent it from going into decline, there are many people who love you. they need, admire and love you (like both characters in our stories).

I would like you to always remember that being happy is not having a sky without storms, roads without accidents, jobs without fatigue, or relationships without disappointment. To be happy is to find strength in forgiveness, hope in battles (like the one the general gave his warriors with the trick of the coin), security in the box of fear, love in every disagreement. Being happy is not only appreciating the smile, but also reflecting on sadness, it is not just commemorating the event, but learning lessons in failure, it is not just having joy with applause, if not finding joy in anonymity. To be happy is to recognize that life is worth living despite all the challenges, misunderstandings and periods of crisis. (ANONYMOUS)

Until next time and only until the next world.
